The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with wide bands of heavily embossed gilding. There are borders of hand gilded scroll work with raised beading. It is the epitome of elegance. Condition: Excellent

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. The ground color is salmon pink. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. They are an example of the splendor of porcelain in the “Gilded Age”. These plates are exhibition worthy. Condition: Excellent

A beautiful and rare Chelsea Red Anchor plate distinguished by both its raised strawberry and leaf decorations around the gently undulating border, and the central bird. Plates with such a border are known, but not common. However, almost without exception, these plates have a floral center, rather than the bird surrounded by the wonderfully colored and rendered insects that this one has. The saucer measures 5 1/8 inches in diameter and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high with a diameter or 2 1/2 inches at the opening. It has cobalt blue borders, cascading flowers and a turquoise diaper at the bottom of the cup and around the well of the saucer...

A wonderful example of this well-known and highly collected historical Staffordshire scene. This plate is 6 3/4" in diameter, with the impressed Clews mark on the reverse. The condition is superb, with deep color, high clarity, sparkling glaze, and no chips, cracks, scratches, or restoration. It is as fine an example as one could hope for.
