This porcelain dish was produced in England around 1825. There is a hand painted pattern number 1079 on the back with no other markings. It measures 9 1/2 inches across the handles, 8 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. It has molded handles and is slightly concave in the middle. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. 1817 and 1822. Illustration #82 in “Nantgarw Porcelain Album” written by W.D. John, G.J. Coombes and K. Coombes shows a cream jug in the same pattern. None of the pieces are signed. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode around 1800. It has a specious Sevres marking over the glaze. The handle is found in Berthoud’s Compendium of Cups. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches and it is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high with an opening of 3 1/8 inches in diameter. The pattern is quite colorful with panels of hand painted flowers and panels of geometric designs. The gilding is elaborate.
