Incredible pair of antique staffordshire horse head brackets/shelves or sconces. Approximate size (accurate measurement on request) 10" by 7". Cream colored horse heads (similar to color of palomino) with gold gilding and a jockey cap with crossed whips/crops with large horseshoe projections. Beautiful detailing, beautiful eye (see photos). Excellent condition with some crazing and a superficial line in horseshoe which is most common in these old staffordshires...

Black transfer printed cracked ice border and flowers in polychrome enamels and gilt. Printed and impressed Spode marks for c 1820-30. The pattern is known as number 3950 (not visible on this piece). This porcelain parasol handle was produced in Germany by a Dresden manufacturer in the late 19th century. It is unmarked but the workmanship is definitely from Dresden. It is 5 1/2 inches long and the knob is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The ground color is cobalt blue. The knob has a scene of lovers in a garden inside a cartouche of ornate raised gilding. The rest of the knob is covered with gilded swirls and flourishes. The stem has gilded cartouches containing tiny cherubs...

This porcelain dish was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden Factory in the 1890s. The dish measures 12” square and is 1 ½ deep. The 1 1/2” border has a reticulated pattern of flowers and cartouches with sprays of hand painted flowers. The center of the dish is hand painted with a vibrantly colored bouquet. There are gilded accents and lacy gold trim. It is beautiful for display and versatile for serving guests.
