An exceptional sterling silver hand wrought cigar lighter from Shreve & Co. San Francisco. Heavy globe in organic silver base. Measures about 4 1/2" tall, 2 7/8" across and weighs about 415 grams. Shows a little wear and a couple of dings. Globe has silver mark differing from the Shreve signature on base. Finely hand hammered base possibly a custom piece. Great, rare example.

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high. Condition is near perfect.

A Very Interesting Sugar Caster from the workshops of the Duchess of Sutherland's Cripples Guild of Handicrafts circa 1910. This is made of hand wrought copper that has been gold plated, based on an 18th century English example in the Duchess's collection. Measures about 10 3/4" tall. Rare example.

Constructed of hand hammered brass, and fastened together with metal pegs, this vase is hexagon in shape, with wide lip and base. It measures 8" high, 5 7/8" across at widest point, and the base is 4 1/8" across. Signed on the base with a conjoined W W mark, with another line that could be an F. Lovely Renaissance style gilt copper jewel casket by Jenning Brothers. The interior is fitted with the original blue velvet lining. The center of the lid features a coat of arms. Origin: America. A handsome three-piece gilt bronze desk set by Marshall Field comprising a letter rack, pen wipe and pen tray. Each piece is decorated with intertwined stylized dragons against a ribbed background with a beaded border. The workmanship is very fine. Imagine this little guy hopping across your table providing everyone with salt or pepper! He is intricately detailed all the way down to his feet. His head unscrews to refill salt or pepper. He stands up well and does not wobble. He is marked "800" on his tail and was probably made sometime around 1910. He measures approximately 3" long and 2.5" tall and is in excellent condition.

This is a CONTINENTAL SILVER SUGAR SIFTER with Gilded Bowl. Made of Heavy Gauge 800 Silver the Front has a Pair of CUPIDS atop the Handle, one playing a Flute and the other has Cymbals. The Front is Nicely Decorated with Flowers and Fruit. The BOWL is Gilded and Pierced for Sugar (can be liquid). Length is 7 1/4" and the Bowl is 2 3/8" at the Widest. Marked on the back: 800 with a German or Italian Mark. Excellent Condition and a BEAUTY.

German 800 silver bowl commemorating Napoleon I and Marie-Louise. Lobed quatrefoil with embossed medallion bust portraits of the couple surmounted an eagle; at bottom a military trophy. Open sides with leaf swag with pendant ribboned medallions (vacant) applied to interior. Beaded rim. Mounted end handles in form of burning torch between gryphons.

The eternal flame such as might have been supposed to burn between Napoleon and his teenage bride, an Austrian archduchess—and grandniece no less ...

Five watchful dogs – setters, dachshunds and a collie – cast in brass on an Art Nouveau pen tray. Around 1910, unmarked, probably English. Length "7 1/3 / 18.7 cm. Condition: natural wear, consistent with use, the underside still with original gilding.

A 800 solid hand engraved Italian lidded canister or box circa 1930-35. This lovely silver item is gilded on the interior and it has a lobed design with ornate floral engraving.
