Box sides have embossed blossoming branches, bamboo, and bird; engraved leaves and flowers at corners. Cover top has embossed slithering, scaly dragons with horns and talons in same frame; blossoming branches at corners. Ground stippled. Maker's mark for Guang Qing Yong. Very good condition with deep patina.

This 3-5/8" diameter and 1-7/8" high bowl has fine high relief and rather unusual rim decoration of a lion head alternating with a shell, surrounded by flowers, with ornate floral feet. Patented 1878 and marked with a C placing it between 1902-1907, this Tiffany & Co. server is made in the intricate "Olympian" pattern. The scene on the handle is "Venus Born of the Sea." It has a large shell shaped, gilded bowl. This one is not monogrammed but is in very good condition. It measures approximately 9.5" long and 3.25" across the widest portion of the bowl. It weighs 120.9 grams.
