Pewter plate, of variety apparently used for special occasions like Purim or Passover etc., 9 3/8" diameter, and filled with incised design consisting of Hebrew characters and an eight pointed star that reminds of the "hex" symbols of American folk art . On the reverse are three "angel/justice" symbols as often seen in these plates, and some writing above that in Roman letters, difficult to decipher. I see the word "FEIN" below one of those angel figures...

Rare English, circa 1824, footed Georgian christening mug with a foliate capped double scroll handle. The body is chased and embossed with rose and leaf motif. In excellent condition, it measures about 3 3/8th high b 2 3/4" diameter at the mouth. Hallmarked.

A wonderful French first empire tole ware monteith, the sides hand painted with bouquets of colorful flowers against ivory-colored reserves flanked by gilt grapevine designs. Pair of English brass Georgian telescopic ejector candlesticks, c.1800. Size: 6.75" - 9.25" height x 3.5" x 3.5". Condition: Some tiny stress cracks to the top of the lower section of one candlestick (see photos detail). Also, one stick requires extra effort to get it to remain in the fully extended position and probably required some sort of new dampening material to keep it in place.

Outstanding pair of early American coin silver sugar tongs. The arms are cut in a modified fiddle shape and are decorated with superb applied fruit baskets. The claws are shaped as scallop shells. English George III era Old Sheffield silver plated meat dome cover with robust gadrooned border and removable cast acanthus leaf-form handle. The cover is adorned with a full armorial engraved into a plaque of solid sterling silver which has been let into the cover in order to prevent any underlying copper from showing through the engraved family armorial. Circa 1810-1820. Size: 14 1/2 in. length x 10 1/2 in. depth x 8 1/2 in. ht. Sterling silver fused over copper; tinned interior.

A set of very decorative early brass irons, with wooden handles, Northern Europe / Denmark c. late 18th.-early 19th. century AD.

The irons with nice fine floral engravings on the surface, and one with royal mongram stamp and D&G stampes as well. They can be dated to c. 1780 and 1820.

Size: Massive irons, measuring 18 cm. and 16 cm. long and 14,5 cm. and 16 cm. tall. They weigh 2,25 kilograms and 1,65 kilograms each. Shipping cost: $85 to US and overseas / $45 for EU.

Marked “Gould & Ward Baltimore” with “11-12”, which was the Baltimore alloy. Gould & Ward succeeded Gelston & Gould and was in turn succeeded by Gould, Stowell & Ward. A genealogy of Baltimore silver embodied in a useful serving piece. Very good condition with nice patina.

Early American coin silver chamberstick, probably upstate New York, Albany area. Circa: 1800-1820. This heavy chamberstick bears unidentified pseudo-hallmarks on the foot ring that are listed in J.R. McGrew's book on maker's marks as probably upstate New York. Missing the snuffer & some minor blemishes. The heavy silver nut on the base is over an iron nut, which is probably a later replacement. Size: 6" x 5 1/8" diameter x 3" ht.

An American Federal Period Coin Silver Creamer or Milk Jug by John McMullin (1765-1843) of Philadelphia. Monogrammed on one side "PJG" with "BB" over it and "MB" under it and the dates 1790 and 1850. On the other side "NRG" and the date 1923. Presumably this was a family piece used over generations. Possibly given originally as a birth present.
