A set of very decorative early brass irons, with wooden handles, Northern Europe / Denmark c. late 18th.-early 19th. century AD.

The irons with nice fine floral engravings on the surface, and one with royal mongram stamp and D&G stampes as well. They can be dated to c. 1780 and 1820.

A Pair of Brass or Bronze Candlesticks signed by the maker "Spencer". Similar in style to the work of Robert Jarvie in Chicago. Each weigh over two pounds each. Measure about 8 1/4" tall, 5" across base. Very good condition and quality.

Handsome Victorian covered brass box with a beaver finial. The beaver is cast in bronze and is shown chomping on a tree stump. The detail and workmanship on the finial is excellent. The box will polish very nicely, but we have left the original patina.

Circa 1890. Condition: excellent, a small ding at the bottom edge. Size: 5-3/4” tall; 2-7/8” diameter.

A pair of interesting candlesticks, 16th.-18th. century.

One is a very interesting, likely Flemish candlestick, in a white bronze or brass alloy, 16th.-17th. century, the other a North-European candlestick of the bell-type.

Size: 254 cm and 21 cm. respectively.

Condition: The bell stick likely a composite of two old parts, the other with soldered repair.

Victorian brass figural picture frame in the form of a medieval knight's shield with a halbeard and lance. Cut from heavy-gauge brass, this frame shows great originality and design sense. The back has a hinged easel.

Origin: England, ca. 1880. Condition: excellent. Size: 8" x 5".

Attractive Late Gothic style, German christian brass censor, Northern Germany, c. mid 17th. century.

An incense burner that would have been hanging in a church. The Vessel is decorated with three female busts in the Gothic style from which each of the three long chains are suspended. A the top a circular plate with a cutout brass finial.

An early 'Grand Tour' style large Estate stamp seal, European, probably c. 1820-1850.

The seal cast with an heroic bust of a greek god of war, probably Ares or Athena in the classical style. A monogram of two capital letters finely engraved in the seals base.

Condition: Nice Very fine, intact and with remnants of original silver and gilt in the details...

A huge and unusual candlestick, European and possible a candelabra from a church, dating to the 18th. century.

Size: c. 46 cm. tall - very impressive! The base is 16 cm. wide.

Condition: The piece is basically intact but a bit loose on the lowest part, which can be fixated quite easily. It has several dents, wear and patina etc..

A fine antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to c. 1780.

A large brass mortar with a corrosponding pestle, very decorative and a nice antique for both display and kitchen use.

Size: Mortar is 133 mm. high and 130 mm. wide, pestle is ca. 24 cm. long and combined weight of the set is more than 3 kilograms!

Condition: Superb.

A lovely early North-European bronze tripod Pan, dating to mid-late 18th. century AD.

An early type of Scandinavian cuphrite brass metal pan for open fire with three legs and a closed handle. Later crude owners initials from time of use are dating to c. 1800. This particular alloy and type was made c. 1750-1780.

The pan with wonderful patina, extensive wear and repairs from the time of use.

A hand hammered brass teapot with rattan wrapped handle, probably Germany, c 1910. Together with a burner by Jan Eisenlöffel, c 1900. The burner with “hammered” dark blue glass walls made in the 1990’s to fit the exact style of the original. Height of teapot "7½/ 19 cm, width "8/ 20 cm, width of burner "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

A superb antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to the reign of Christian VII (1766-1806), this mortar dates early in his reign, c. 1770-1790.

Fabulous brass and copper picture frame in the Aesthetic Japonaise style. The basketweave pattern of the brass frame is detailed with raised copper decorative elements that include a crane standing in a stream, bamboo and cherry blossoms. The back has an easel. The frame is 3.5" x 2.75". The oval opening with glass is 2.25" x 1.5". Circa 1870.

Nice Victorian brass ladies' lace-up boot. This example has holes drilled to represent the holes for laces. The Victorians often placed these along their mantles for purely decorative purposes.

A handsome Imperial Russian medium-size hammered brass oval tray with cast brass handles. A tray of this size would probably have been used to serve vodka, and could still be used as a cordial tray or even on a buffet table. One end is stamped with the maker’s name and the Imperial Romanov double eagle warrant. The handles are attached with copper rivets and are cast in a ropetwist design.

An Edwardian Arts and Crafts hammered brass crumber and tray. This hand made brass crumb scoop and tray dates to the 1900-10 Edwardian era. This high quality hammered serving set is in the Newlyn school style and it features rivet construction, a screw-mounted black-painted wooden handle and cast handles and mounts. Three lobed shamrocks happily travel around the parameter of this circa 1900 brass sash buckle pin ornament with a faux hasp and early C catch. While these wear worn then on waist sashes to give the appearance of a buckle, their versatility allows one to wear them on any article of clothing.

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high. Condition is near perfect.

A Compete Set of Five Pair of Diamond Brass Candlesticks. The Original Three Pairs (Ace of Diamonds, King of Diamonds and Queen of Diamonds) were Designed to Commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (1837-1897). The Remaining Two Pairs (Prince of Diamonds and Princess of Diamonds) came out in 1901, after Victoria's Death. There are several ding and scratches on the individual pieces, but overall in very good condition. The full set is a rare occurrence.

A rare hammered brass cigar humidor bearing the double-headed eagle insignia of Russia's Romanov dynasty. The tall humidor is of seamed construction and has a hammered surface. The front is decorated with the Romanov eagle applique attached with copper rivets. 19th century English brass "Queen of Diamonds" Candle holders made as a commemoration piece to honor Queen Victoria's 60 year reign from 1837 - 1897. Measures 11.25" high x 4.5" square.

Heavy brass letter opener with a fully repoussed handle. There is a face on both sides at the end of the handle. It is made to look like a barbed dagger or sword. It measures approximately 9 inches long and at its widest, it measures 1.25 inches. The overall weight is 152.5g.
