A delightful bronze dresser mirror, the entire frame ornately decorated in the form of two Pierrot figures and a smiling man-in-the-moon. Pierrot was a originally a Comedia dell’Arte character, but in the 18th century, he and the moon became inextricably linked in the French children’s song, “Au Claire de la Lune.” There are a few variations of this mirror; this is the most ornate, with the intricately beveled glass. From our European Collection, a fine and elegant 19th century bronze tazza, probably French, featuring well-cast leonine head motifs with twisted serpentine handles, supported upon a tapering circular pedestal base with some very attractive and realistically cast floral motifs. This piece has acquired a nice chocolate-brown patina across most of the surfaces.

Wonderful 19th Century bonze inkwell set featuring a reclining dog at a fence and 2 cut glass inkwells. An excellent piece for the collector. Measures 8.5ʺ wide × 2.75ʺ deep × 5.5ʺ high

This is a beautiful, large bronze cherub standing on a rouge marble base from the late l9th century that was made into a lamp. It measures 45" tall to the top of the light. The cherub itself is 20" tall and it stands on a marble base that is 10 1/2" tall. It is in beautiful condition, the cherub's arms are pinned where they should be and its a beautiful addition to any home. I can find no artist name or stamps on the piece, but it is a great 19th century sculpture.

Dresser Tray with a Doily Enclosed in between two pieces of glass and in a Bronze two handled mount. Dimensions; 8.5" in diameter, 10" to the handles. Circa 1900 and in excellent condition.

A very fine pair of cast and engraved Louis XVI style bronze dore candlesticks. The round bases are decorated with beading and an ornate wreath of acanthus leaves. The pillars are fluted and broaden slightly before reaching the upper knop, also with acanthus leaf decoration. The sockets are likewise decorated. The original gilding is largely in place.

Antique 18th-century European gilt-bronze figure of a seated Ottoman Turk. The figure depicts a nobleman from the Turkish Ottoman era, seated in the Turquerie or "Turkery" fashion. He is sitting on a square cushion with his legs crossed. The nobleman is wearing an exquisite ensemble of Turkish clothing, which includes a long-sleeved shirt, a vest, and loose-fitting trousers. The Ottoman sash tied around his waist adds a touch of grandeur to his attire...

A handsome three-piece gilt bronze desk set by Marshall Field comprising a letter rack, pen wipe and pen tray. Each piece is decorated with intertwined stylized dragons against a ribbed background with a beaded border. The workmanship is very fine. Marshall Field was an active producer of very high-quality metalwares during the Arts & Crafts period. The bottom of the letter rack is marked “Made by Marshall Field & Co. 2 29”. The bottom of the pen tray is marked “MF & Co VIKING”...
