A Boxed Set of Four Sterling Silver Napkin Rings by the Noted Victorian Silversmith Hilliard and Thomason and Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1876. The rings are in the shape of a cuff, with buttons and button holes. Maker mark "H & T". Dimensions; 1.75" in diameter x 1.25" high. Weight 4 ounces in total. The rings are in excellent condition, but the box is damaged.

Set of 4 Edwardian sterling silver and enamel place card holders. Made by James William Benson in Birmingham, 1901 to 1902. Each: Enameled coat of arms and open oval clip mounted to flat octagonal base. Two each in two coats of arms. In leather-bound case with silk lining and fitted velvet. All fully marked including date letters 1901 (2) and 1902 (2). Design no. 454426 and retailer’s stamp (“Rowell / Oxford”)...

Jugendstil pewter dish of trefoil shape, the wedges between the leaves filled with softly modelled violets. The base with three minimal ball feet for the balance. German, c 1900, marked Rein Zinn 95 % (Pure Pewter 95 %) under a crown. Width "6 ¾ / 17.5 cm. Condition: fine, keeping its original oxidized decoration and patina, never polished.

Wonderful pair of Hubley cast iron paperweights in the form of African-American children. The little girl wears a yellow jumper over a white blouse and the little boy wears yellow pants and a white shirt. This is the only pair of black memorabilia iron paperweights we’ve seen.

Origin: America, ca 1920. Condition: very good, expected paint wear on high spots. Size: 1-3/8” tall.

An ornately hand-engraved English sterling silver pierced sifter spoon, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1893. This 5-3/8" spoon has a finely pierced bowl and a PW monogram; it has the maker's mark for Atkin Brothers and it weighs 29.3 grams. This spoon is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Rare Gorham sterling silver Acanthus vase. This wonderful vase with a fluted body is embossed in high relief with acanthus leaf shell design around the foot and mouth. This a first class quality vase, bearing the Gorham sterling trademarks. In excellent condition, it measures 8.5" high.

Sterling silver grapefruit spoon in Whiting's popular 1909 "Madam Jumel" pattern. The back is marked with Whiting's hallmark, the patent date, and the letter "T" indicating the weight.

Origin: America, circa 1909. Condition: very good except for a small ding at the edge of the bowl, sharp detail on handle, period monogram "P". Size: 5-1/2" long.

A simple 7" pre-Victorian English pewter sauce ladle by John Yates, Birmingham. Yates (1788-1881) produced spoons and ladles from c1808 to c1840, and this example has his early IO HN YHA TES stamp. It is in the fiddle pattern and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, monograms, losses, damage or repairs other than a small bubbled area of corrosion on the handle...

A very fine pair of cast and engraved Louis XVI style bronze dore candlesticks. The round bases are decorated with beading and an ornate wreath of acanthus leaves. The pillars are fluted and broaden slightly before reaching the upper knop, also with acanthus leaf decoration. The sockets are likewise decorated. The original gilding is largely in place.

Origin: France, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, no cracks. Size: 9-1/2" tall.

An Art Deco Sterling Silver Fruit Bowl on a Pedestal Base Supported by Stylized Grapes and Leaves. By Woodside Sterling, NY 1910-1920; the highly designed base is done in the George Jensen style. Dimensions 8.5" diameter x 6.5" high, weight 17.3 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A hand wrought sterling silver desk set from F. Walter Lawrence, probably in collaboration with Gustav Manz. The desk pad measures about 22" by 15". Silver inkwell box measures about 5 1/2" by 3" by 3 1/4" and weighs over a pound without the glass inkwells. Silver pen tray measures 7 7/8" by 3 1/4". Signed on bottom of pen tray, as shown. Condition is very good, except for chips on the glass inkwells. Fine quality and rare.

A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form and the bottom inset with a silver coin from the reign of Louis XV. The sides of the tastevin are decorated with the traditional raised "perles" and recessed "cupules" for viewing the depth of color in a wine. The coin, dating to 1726, depicts the profile of the king surrounded by the legend "Louis XV, by grace of God, king of France and Navarre." The reverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin...

A Rare Early American Coin Silver Pap Boat, by John H. Connor and Garret Eoff of NY and Inscribed "Dec 25th 1834". Dimensions; 6" x 2.8755". Weight; 2.8 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A nicely detailed pierced Rococo Revival boat with exceptionally detailed swags, flowers, and cross hatching for a formal setting. The shape mimics a boat and may have once had a liner. Condition is very good with no material defects. Underside is marked Depose 800, which in normal circumstances might be French, but we believe that the crown and possibly crescent to its left indicates a German article, dating c. 1890-1910...

Victorian brass figural picture frame in the form of a medieval knight's shield with a halbeard and lance. Cut from heavy-gauge brass, this frame shows great originality and design sense. The back has a hinged easel.

Origin: England, ca. 1880. Condition: excellent. Size: 8" x 5".

Large turn-of-the-century German 800 silver figural spice box. A bird grips a gnarly branch with scaly talons. Sweet and downy with tucked-down wings. Head detachable. Marked. Very good condition.
