Up for sale is a very large antique Chinese red silk wedding wall hanging / tapestry, embroidered with 2 large phoenixes, peonies, other birds, peaches, butterflies, and flowers executed in silk floss and gold wrapped threads. The tapestry is lined with red brocaded lining and 3.5" border along the edges. Overall is in excellent condition, no wear or fraying, no stains, vibrant colors ! Measurements: Red silk with embroidery 49" x 24"; with border 55.5" x 31"

This is a nice antique tribal rug from Azerbaijian Province, old Persia, made with vegetable dye and natural colour, in good condition.

This is the upper part of a kamishimo; samurai's formal attire without the trousers. It was worn over a kosode (kimono with small sleeves) with trousers. The texture is hemp like; coarse, slightly translucent, thick threads (thicker than other kamishimo). The family crest is the feathers of a hawk. Kami-shimo (upper-lower) that we currently have are quite dandy and fashionable. The amazing thing is the work that is involved when making these fabrics...

A beautiful example of Victorian bead work, this was originally a purse. Now without a frame, this double sided stylized oval shaped Czechoslovakia glass cut bead design is composed of richly colored purple plum, lavender, gold, bronze, brown and charcoal black floral bouquets on tree limbs made up of horizontal and vertical rows of bead work, original brown silk lining, beaded fringe. Easily restored, might also make a lovely center applique on a special pillow, dress or jacket...

Fashion perfect for riding in a one horse open sleigh, this is an original Victorian black silk velvet cape, circa 1890's, featuring silk applique detailing along the front bodice creating a border around the entire cape. A frilly double ruffle black silk ribbon ruff collar is inset with handmade black lace. Silk ribbon attached around the collar creates a bow in front of the neck hook and eye closure. A large cotton pieced log cabin quilt that is slightly asymmetrical with nine rows to the height as in the picture and eight rows of squares wide all surrounded by a red border. The radiating dark and light bands (barn raising) from the center are not actually centered in the quilt, but start in the lower center as per the pictures. Lovely antique Victorian lace fan with hand carved bone ribs and guard. Kept under protective glass against a soft pink velvet background and framed in an aged-style white wood frame. In excellent condition, it measures 28ʺW × 2ʺD × 20ʺH

A double Irish chain quilt with printed cotton fabrics of red and green chains against a background of black spots on white cotton. The front is turned over to the back to make the edge. The quilting is simple diagonals.

Condition; excellent, never washed.

Good colors and pleasing design makes this an attractive quilt.

A pieced cotton quilt in a pattern called, “Goose on the pond” probably from the mid-West and made in the late 19th century. The pattern is made up of pattern printed blue, orange and white fabrics. The same orange fabric is used throughout, but the blue and white are made up of different prints. The quilting is diagonal lines. Cotton seeds in the stuffing visible through the back. Front edge turned to the back. All hand stitched...

A design of a green cross with all sides equal enclosed in a rectangle on one point with red steps and green saw teeth in rows and columns of five against a background of light and dark blue checked fabric. Geometric quilting of waves around the outside and rectangular quilting in the other light squares. Great printed cotton backing.

Condition: May never have been washed as the blue chalk lines for the quilting are still visible...

School girl hand embroidered sampler from New Hampshire, late 18th or early 19th century. Measures 6 5/8" x 10 1/4", in frame measuring 10 1/2" x 14 1/4", with green mat and tan paper backboard. The scene is very folky, obviously a creative design by the child doing the embroidery. Often samplers were copied from images provided by the "school" of handwork, but this is clearly an imaginative work...

A large double Irish chain pieced quilt with the chain consisting of red squares enclosing yellow ones on a white ground. The back is turned over the top to form the edge. The red border quilted with swags encloses a white border with a running feather wreath. Inside are red saw teeth and then the chains across the field. Cotton seeds visible through the back side. The white squares enclosed by the chain are quilted with a number of different circular motifs...

A nicely made large quilt in the triple Irish chain pattern from the late 19th century. The chains made of small squares of yellow, red and green pattern printed cotton. The double red border is of the same red printed pattern. There are seeds visible in the filling between the backing and the jam side. The quilting in the white squares is a feather wreath enclosing four hearts or possibly a four leaf clover...

A striking quilt in a deep red and black. Most importantly the quilt has, stitched on its reverse, "Sarah amd Anne Hoit, Burlington, VT 1838". It also has, stitched at a later time, "A Present to O. Sherman 1881". It is very uncommon to find a quilt, especially such an early one, with such complete information as to the maker, place and date. The piece is approximately 82" square, with the cutouts being 16" square.

A very well designed and executed eight point Star of Bethlehem pieced cotton quilt with excellent quilting. The pieces around the edges are white with very small pale blue printed sprigs. The pieces for the star are all solid colors. The backing is printed green cotton in a small pattern. Quilted with feather wreaths in the corners and partial ones between the points of the stars. All of the sewing is done by hand. 72 inches square.

Condition: excellent with very minor wear and a few spots...

Twelve eight pointed stars made of cotton printed in orange with small yellow clover-like shapes arranged in rows of twos and threes with alternating white squares all enclosed in three bands of the same printed fabric. The outside band is turned over the edge to join the white cotton backing. Cotton seeds visible in the stuffing. All hand stitched.
