This rope bedframe has warmth which only time and wear can give. It has head and foot boards with some extra touches such as spool posts and turned legs. It retains its bed rails making modernization a plausible option. This bedframe is a very nice example with extra details which the average bedframe of its era did not have. I conservatively date this bedframe to mid 19th century but it could be somewhat earlier, but if pushed I place date to c. 1840...

The chair is in excellent original condition and structurally sound. As to be expected there are some losses to the splints. The height is 43", with a width of 20" and a depth of 18". The seat depth is 16" and 18 1/2" high.

For the collector of early and folky American furniture, here is a type of chair commonly referred to as a "firehouse" chair, made of wood, painted generally black but with yellow piping stripes along the top rail and seat, and on the legs. Octagon sided marble top table with an oriental style to the base. This is a simple but beautiful table, measuring 29" tall x 27" in diameter. The marble has two small chips, both in corners, and both not noticeable unless you look very closely. It is in very good condition for its age, which is late 1800s.

Beautifully made walnut American Victorian night stand with marble top. Made and signed under the marble by R. Renwick & Son of Baltimore, Maryland. R. Federal Mahogany swell front chest of drawers. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Maryland, probably Baltimore, 1790 to 1810.
