An original antique Japanese lacquer tea chest. Consisting of two open shelves along with upper and lower compartments. Front is covered in gold lacquer with maki-e techniques depicting landscape seen with small village. depicts
The four vertical supports are adored with lacquer gold detail. From and base are decorated with mon and low relief patterns.

A lidded brass box, made around 1900, Chinese. Small brass medallions with auspicious flowers and birds have been soldered on to the box, and to the front are two enamel and copper medallions with cranes. One medallion is of the shou symbol surrounded by bats. The wooden lining suggests that the box was used for cigars. The back with stamped mark CHINA. Nice format, width "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm, height "2 / 5 cm. Condition: fine.

An antique Japanese Ko Tansu made of Kuwa (Mulberry) and Kuri (Chestnut) woods. All original bronze Warabite drawer pulls and fittings on the doors. 6 drawers of varying sizes with sliding upper doors and lift out side door. Gilded door panels.

The rectangular carved wood with dragons and border with carved bamboo, legs with reticulated dragons and symbols, tabletop border with Shou symbols on each corner with dragons, side panels with carved dragon in high relief with an alternate border of bats and floral motif. An original chair of the renowned Wiener Werkstatte movement, circa 1905, measuring approximately 35" by 17" by 16 1/2". There are two original labels underneath bearing the names Jakob and Josef Kohn, from Wien (Vienna). In 1904, Josef Hoffmann, one of the founders of the Wiener Werkstatte, designed a furniture line, noted for its simple forms, for the firm of Jakob & Josef Kohn, which actually manufactured the chair. A Mahogany Inlaid Child's or Youth's Rocker with a rush seat. Dimensions; 29 1/2" high x 19" wide x 17" deep. There is a back label that states "patented 1890", with a date of manufacture of 1902.

Absolutely beautiful sofa in a variation of Belter's Rosalie pattern. It was made between 1850 and 1860 and is typical of Henry Belter's wonderful laminated furniture for which he is so famous. It measures 42" tall x 74" long x 34" deep. The coloring and graining of the rosewood is just wonderful, and this would make a fantastic addition to any parlor or living room

Japanese merchants chest known as a gyoshu baku. Made of 100% sugi (Japanese Cypress) wood. Hand forged iron hardware. Single hinged with latching door. Tucked inside are seven drawers. Gyohu bakus are meant to be worn on the backpack for ease of transport and organized storage.
