An antique Japanese Cha Tansu (tea chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia), Sugi (Cryptomeria) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. With a design of Buddhist influence, it features 2 pairs of sliding doors, five drawers and a lift-out door. The main doors are framed in glass allowing for seasonal and cultural objects to be displayed. All original hardware and lacquer finish.

Lobed pewter bowl with an etched scenery of a rocky seascape, Mount Fuji in the background. The surface matted, silvery. Meiji period, c 1900, seal mark to the base. Diameter "6 ¼ / 16 cm. Condition: a black spot to the exterior removed by polishing (cf. pics).

An original antique Japanese lacquer tea chest. Consisting of two open shelves along with upper and lower compartments. Front is covered in gold lacquer with maki-e techniques depicting landscape seen with small village. depicts
The four vertical supports are adored with lacquer gold detail. From and base are decorated with mon and low relief patterns.

A lidded brass box, made around 1900, Chinese. Small brass medallions with auspicious flowers and birds have been soldered on to the box, and to the front are two enamel and copper medallions with cranes. One medallion is of the shou symbol surrounded by bats. The wooden lining suggests that the box was used for cigars. The back with stamped mark CHINA. Nice format, width "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm, height "2 / 5 cm. Condition: fine.

The rectangular carved wood with dragons and border with carved bamboo, legs with reticulated dragons and symbols, tabletop border with Shou symbols on each corner with dragons, side panels with carved dragon in high relief with an alternate border of bats and floral motif. The table folds up and the photos show it folded. Age: Late 19th - Early 20th Century Condition: some writing on the tabletop, and rest of table is in good condition...

A Mahogany Inlaid Child's or Youth's Rocker with a rush seat. Dimensions; 29 1/2" high x 19" wide x 17" deep. There is a back label that states "patented 1890", with a date of manufacture of 1902.

An original chair of the renowned Wiener Werkstatte movement, circa 1905, measuring approximately 35" by 17" by 16 1/2". There are two original labels underneath bearing the names Jakob and Josef Kohn, from Wien (Vienna). In 1904, Josef Hoffmann, one of the founders of the Wiener Werkstatte, designed a furniture line, noted for its simple forms, for the firm of Jakob & Josef Kohn, which actually manufactured the chair. Absolutely beautiful sofa in a variation of Belter's Rosalie pattern. It was made between 1850 and 1860 and is typical of Henry Belter's wonderful laminated furniture for which he is so famous. It measures 42" tall x 74" long x 34" deep. The coloring and graining of the rosewood is just wonderful, and this would make a fantastic addition to any parlor or living room

Japanese merchants chest known as a gyoshu baku. Made of 100% sugi (Japanese Cypress) wood. Hand forged iron hardware. Single hinged with latching door. Tucked inside are seven drawers. Gyohu bakus are meant to be worn on the backpack for ease of transport and organized storage.
