This is a beautiful vintage quarter sawed oak map cabinet, circa 1900. It has raised panels, and eleven drawers all together. It measures 34" tall x 42" wide x 27" deep and is in great condition.

Antique Japanese single section tansu with pair of sliding glass doors. Four uniform drawers sit symmetrically at the bottom of the chest. Overall simple modern design with functional use. Natural finish, over hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood.

Would make for a great low media cabinet.

A pair of Moorish style decagonal tables inlaid with shell, bone and wood. Top surface features an arabesque design revolving around a center moon and a cross representing the sun. Each larger concentric surrounding circle is followed by a four sided diamond, a six sided pendant, an eight sided octogon, and a 10 sided decagon. Each of the 10 sides has repeating panels of dark on white and white on dark with Jaali windows...

This is the most beautiful original 18th Century Italian carved wood frame with gilding and partial Polychrome painted Mirror, Ca. mid 1700's, 35" high, 28" wide, 2 1/2" to 3" deep. Mirror glass is all original, nothing replaced and also the finish on carved wood frame is also original with Polychrome paints and gilding partially. Backing is original wooden panel...

One of the best back bars ever, this measures almost 12 feet tall and almost 20 feet long! It is made of cherry and walnut burl, American, circa 1880's. There are three leaded glass windows, two as cabinet doors, and one as center top, supported by marble pillars. There are no words to describe this incredible piece, and the pictures really don't do it justice, but you can get an idea. This wonderful bar needs to go into either a fabulous home, or a restaurant or hotel...

An antique Japanese 2 section Cha Tansu (tea display chest) made of Kaki (Persimmon), Tochi (Horse Chestnut) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. Upper section features sliding doors, shelves and a drawer where utensils and accessories for tea service were stored away. The glass doors and shelves were used to showcase seasonal and holiday decorations the owner wished to display.

A rare antique Japanese Sakata Funa Tansu (Captain's chest for uniform storage) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute exterior handles and the Warabite interior handles. Lift-off security door opens to two drawers where the captain's uniform would have been stored. Fully framed in iron.

When we say that these candelabra are "le fin de siecle" we are referring to more than their late 19th century manufacture. They are superb example of Baroque style lighting which befits a place begging for a fine appointment. Why are we using French to describe these Italian cast brass masterpieces which must surely be one of a kind?

The candelabra have an architectural solidity with the square feet supporting floral faced blocks which frame a flower and scrolling vine motif...

Pair of Deco Era side tables with dramatic marquetry surfaces. Mixed hardwood in contrasting rosette pattern. The tables are square in form with sloped legs and Macassar Ebony veneer.

From our European Collection, a very elegant late 19th / early 20th century bronze lamp, probably French or English, featuring a well-cast swan atop a lumbering turtle. This is the second of two fine lamps we recently acquired from the estate of a former New York based antique dealer.
