An antique Japanese Cha Kobako (tea storage and serving box) made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Upper open shelf for serving dish storage. Lift-out door behind which tea, teapot and teacups were stored for serving guests. Bottom drawer was used to store serving accoutrements. Lucky carved Pine motif representing longevity on either side of the chest.

Size and Condition: 28 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches wide. Excellent condition, no repairs or restoration and the glass appears to be original: Some general wear to the ironwork commensurate with age as seen in the second close-up, but this only adds to the charm.

A very fine and masssive Japanese Edo Period Satuma Vase, measuring 25.5” in height. Satsuma was done in the last quarter of the nineteenth century and after 1900, went out of production as Japan was moving towards modernization.
This is an amazing fine decorated with decorations of vignettes of Japanese culture. Done circa 1910-1920 which is remarkable as few are know from this late production. Furthermore, with the original gold leaf pagoda style lid.
Huanghuali Chinese footed alter table with stunning detail and carving. Central panels are perfectly book matched. Each panel measuring 6 1/4" wide. Leg panels are carved into double water dragons with strolling Lingzhi pattern. The carving follows the motif along the apron.
