An antique Chinese skinny bench made entirely of Elm wood. Having acquired an antique patina over the years of weathering and loving use, it is sturdy and ready for its next century of function.
Contemporary uses include placement at the end of a bed, behind a sofa or in an entryway for ease of removing ones shoes before entering a home.

Korean chest with beautiful burl wood front panels, with handmade brass hardware, with etched floral patterns and designs. Three rectangular drawers line the top, and below are two large rectangular doors with a large brass backplate resembling a flower or sun. Each door is lined with original red paper backing, opening to the chest's interior. Dark softwood exterior with original finish. circa 1900

A vintage Japanese Geta Bako (chest for shoe storage) made of Tochinoki (Horse Chestnut) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. Two sliding doors hide a storage area separated by 2 removable wood shelves. Bottom drawers provide additional storage.
The Geta Bako was traditionally used at the entrance to a Japanese home to allow family members to remove and store their shoes before entering the home.

Beautiful antique drafting table made by the Washburn Shops at the Worcester Polytecnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, circa late 1800s. It has a black cast iron adjustable base with hand painted legs that are in perfect original condition. The height can be adjusted, as well as the top, which can be angled to any degree. It measures 46" high x 26" wide x 28" when flat. This is not only a beautiful piece of drafting use, but a work of art as well

A beautiful Edwardian period rectangular side table with a Demi-lune cut out along the center front. The table top has a stylish raised edge around its perimeter. Beneath the top is a cyma cut skirt which centers two long candle drawers on either end. The table is held up by four square tapering congruent legs. Designed to be light weight and portable.

A very high quality mahogany drop leaf table with turned legs and stretchers with a shaped apron at either end. The three boards, one for the top and one for each leaf are well matched single boards. Excellent proportion and a nice small size. 27 ½ tall X 28 ¾ long X 11 ½ wide in inches. With the leaves up 31 ½ inches wide.
Condition; minor repairs including the replacement of one of the feet. There is an old breakout at one of the joints...

This is a beautiful, unusual walnut and burl Gentleman's dresser made by Nelson, Matter & Company from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They were in business from 1870 to 1899. The whole piece measures 6'1" tall x 4' wide x 21" deep. The full length beveled mirror stands on the left side, and on the right is a four drawer dresser including a hidden top drawer and three other drawers. The top of the dresser is lovely marble. It has a partial tag still attached with the maker's name...
From our European Collection, a charming Rococo sofa, early 20th century circa 1900-1920, probably French, executed with lovely curvilinear lines true to the style, with hand-carved shell-shaped and floral motifs executed into the wood frame, and finished with an elegant but understated two-tone gold on gold damask fabric. The fabric is not original, but is quite likely a re-upholstery job from the 1950's or so, and has survived wonderfully since then...
