Two baskets are being offered here and both are from the Northeast, most probably from the Penobscot of Maine. They are lidded, made of splint ash, and use natural dyes of green and orange.

Basket 1, although it has a square base, is 14 3/4" in diameter and 11 1/2" in height. They are about 3 smallish splint breaks as shown in the photos, but the basket is structurally sturdy. Basket 2 has a medial sweetgrass braid and a dyed interior. The 4 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" in height.

Overstreet states the Agee points are "the finest, most exquisite arrow point made in the United States". They are both 1 7/8". They are both made from translucent novaculite. They were found near the area of the Crenshaw Site. The name of the finder goes to the purchaser. I purchased both on 8-2-92 from Ray Stanford. Agee points of this quality are never seen on the open market. They are extremely rare and hoarded.

I purchased 1, 2 (Bolen), 3 (Hillsborough) and 5 (Hernando) from Tom Davis. i still have his pre-internet catalog which will go to the buyer. He purchased these from one of the oldest and best collections in Florida, John Claytor. Agatized coral is a material highly sought after and prized by collectors and always brings a premium price. Because they are so desirable, they are now being quickly faked...
