This extremely rare green slate pendant is 3 1/8" in diameter and is from Eastern Oklahoma dating to the Mississipian Period. The incised motifs are two antler-headed panther rattlesnakes with weeping/forked eye, four hands with eye in the palm and a central stylized eye. Each hand is set so that the fingers point in one of the sacred directions. The entire outside edge is incised with lines reminiscent of the shell mask hairlines and there are four stylized antlers at the four directions...

This is an extremely rare assemblage of five bone gorgets. The top one is river-stained and highly engraved, almost unheard of. The middle one is very thin and also engraved. It is a 5" long by 1-1/2" wide. It was found on a Site in Virginia, called Mendota. This Bone Relic was purchased from Karl Kilguss at the Ripley Show. Karl got them from the Rich Johnson Auction that was in January. The bottom one is completely petrified...

These 16 bone pendants were found together in Smythe County, Virginia on a Hopewell site. They are all identical in form. They are all drilled from the top at an angle. Average size is 1". They are made from squirrel shoulder blades. They have excellent patina and are all very solid. This is a very rare and unusual assemblage. They are ex Tom Davis. The name of the finder goes to the buyer.

This unique 3-pronged bone tool is probably a comb, but could be some type of fish or crawdad spear or even a fork. It was found at a Ft. Ancient site in Washington County, Kentucky on private property. One prong was broken off in antiquity and glued back on. This is the most unusual bone piece I have ever seen. It was obviously carved with stone tools. It is nicely polished with great patination. It dates to the Mississipian Period around 1000AD.

In my 40+ years of collecting, I have seen many bone fish hooks and have owned over 30. This one is the best I have ever seen. It is a G-10+, museum quality. I will put this one up against anyone in existence. This one is so well made that it goes beyond being utilitarian and was probably a family keepsake and worn as an effigy pendant according to Robert Butler who authenticated it. I purchased this unique antler wedge or chisel from Jim Bennett. It has fabulous patina and is scored/grooved on the sides. It is 5 3/8" and was found near Wakemap Mound on the long narrows of the Columbia River, Oregon in the 1950's by Charlie Mitchell. A very rare and unique piece.

This is an extraordinarily rare unique turtle shell maskette. It is 2 5/8" X 2 1/2". It was found in Southern Illinois. It dates to the Mississippian Period, 1000AD. It has a hairline reminiscent of the Southeastern Shell Masks. I know of only one other example which is pictured in Lar Hothem's 'Antler, Bone & Shell Artifacts', page 309. It has beautiful patina and is a no-brainer for authenticity...

This pointed bone splitter tool from the Bill Peterson Collection and ex-Jim Bennett is 5" L, including a 2" glued piece. It was found in Kentucky and shows incredible patina. It has a drilled hole for suspension. It is just a really neat bone tool in unusual form. It has been preserved with an Elmer's glue mix which many old collections used. I will hate to see this one go.

This is a very nice bone fish hook found in Bracken County, Kentucky. It is 1 1/4" long. It is very well made with no damage. The point is sharp. It has beautiful patina.

This red cedar mask was found by S.C. Dellinger in 1935. It is 2 3/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The patina is gorgeous. Never seen on the market. Another will never come along.
