This is a wonderful but plain little copper alloy or bronze axe head from the ancient middle East. Types like this are often associated with either the Amlash or Luristan cultures. This piece has three raised ridges on the socket. It is intact, solid and stable with no repair or restoration. It weighs 230 grams and measures 12.5 cm across. This is a fine example of ancient craftsmanship at a very low price. Don't miss it!!!!

This is a fantastic example of an early bronze dagger blade with handle rivets still present and intact. This type was common to large areas of the Middle East from present day Greece across to Iran. It has a triangular blade with prominent midrib and a very short, flat tang. The patina is a gorgeous mixture of greens and browns with a hint of blue. A bronze amulet of the god Osiris, wearing the Atef crown and holding a crook and flail. Late Period, c.664 - 343 BC. Heights, 2 1/8" (5.5 cm) . Ex Negus collection, UK, early 20th century.

A pair of absolutely stunning quality smaller silex axes, from the Singlegrave period-to early Daggertime, 2800-2000 BC.

Both are expertly polished and long slender types, likley for precision work in wood. One is greyish with nice fossil-remains in the silex surface and likely dating rather late perhaps even Daggertime, the other a scarce type and likely dating earlier, with a marvelous amber-orange patina.

An impressive polished greystone axe, from the great buriel mounts of Denmark, in the later 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

The axe carved by micro-crushing and polishing the surface into the large curving broadsides towards the edge and butt. The axe with old tags, found at the island Lolland.

Upper part of the seated Isis nursing the Horus child (Harpokrates). The miniature scale head shows detailed facial features. The goddess wears the tripartite wig surmounted by a crown in the shape of the st-seat sign, the hieroglyphic sign used to write her name.
With her right hand she is presenting her left breast to her son, which is now lost.
