A very large amulet of the Wedjat or Wadjet type, 'The Eye of Ra', Late period, 660-332 BC.

Nicely glazed in three differnet colors and with horisontically drilled loop.

Size: 53 mm. long and 33 mm. tall.

Condition: About Very Fine, basically intact but with minor losses and wear to the glaze.

Ex German private collection T.R. (Düsseldorf before 1983). Comes with COA.

Egypt 2300-1600 bc faience bead and core glass melon bead group . A group of large beads all having glazes from light to dark blue green and all with a molded ribbed design .

Egyptian head of a king with tightly fitting headdress, the uraeus and the vulture partially preserved on the forehead.
Eyes and eyebrows recessed to bear inlays. Also the body of the rearing uraeus was originally inlayed.
Attractive facial features with slightly aquiline nose and full lips, the almond-shaped eyes with cosmetic lines to the outer corners. False beard missing.

Upper part of the seated Isis nursing the Horus child (Harpokrates). The miniature scale head shows detailed facial features. The goddess wears the tripartite wig surmounted by a crown in the shape of the st-seat sign, the hieroglyphic sign used to write her name.
With her right hand she is presenting her left breast to her son, which is now lost.
Moldmade. Pale green to white faience with glossy surface.

Ancient Egyptian artifacts from the Predynastic Period, specifically the Naqada II (Gerzean) era, which dates back to around 3600 - 3150 B.C. The artifact is a hand-carved war mace head made of reddish-brown stone, possibly Breccia. The mace head has a globular shape with a large cylindrical perforation in the center, which tapers towards one end. The base of the hole is carved with a pronounced reinforced rim, which was used to attach the head securely to a wooden handle...

Bab el-Gasus Shabtis - Cache II - Tomb of the Priests of Amun

Amenhatpamecha – imn-HAt-pA-mSa Type 1

Also known as Amenemhatpamecha, Amenhatpamesha, Amenemhet, Imenhatpamecha, Amumemhatpamescha.

The name means ‘Amen is at the front of his army’, ‘Amen is the commander/chief of the army‘, see the remarks at type 4...

This amulet is carved from a beautiful blue-green stone, most probably jasper and has been done with great attention to detail. The surface has a wonderful "mellow" patina and great tactile appeal. It measures 1"in height and is free from any restoration or re-carving. Inserted on a wooden stand, easily removed, should one desire. Dating to the Middle Kingdom. Ex London art market. Additional photos can be had upon request.

A rare large inscribed heart scarab, Rameside to Late Kingdom, c. 12th.-6th. century BC.

The heart scarab carved in a redish type of sandstone, glazed with an almost perfectly intact dark green gaze. Made as a somewhat cheaper alternative to the green basalt and hardstone scarabs of the period. Finely inscribed on the base with 7 lines of hieroglyphs, tradionally with passages from the Book of Death, but untranslated by us.
