A tanged 'Luristan' bronze dagger from Ancient Near East, Caspian Sea Area, Bronze age, dating to 2nd mill BC.

The dagger with rounded shoulders, a short tang and central midrib. The top of the blade has two holes for fastening rivets.

Length: c. 26,5 cm.

Condition: Fine green patina with some roughness to the edges. The blade has a bend at the the tip, as seen on pictures.

Ex. Private Collection in Denmark, formed in the 1990's.

A nice pair of ancient Near East Bronze javelins / spear points. Likely Neo-Elamite, dating to around 1200-800 BC.

Commonly called 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors. Both with tangs, prominent central midribs. Both have incised criss cross patterns near the bottom of the blades on ones side.

Size: c. 14 & 15,5 cm - c. 5,5-6 inches.

Condition: Choice with some roughness. Nice patinas & good metal.

An interesting set of Western-Central Asian / Bactrian bronzes from 2nd. millenium BC.

A drinking bowl with low rim and cup with a somewhat higher vessel. The cup is quite massive and heavy.

Large vessel with high walls - for food or water storage. A small omphalos in the interior.

Sizes: 9 x 3 & 8 x 4,5 cm / 3,5 x 1,2 & 3 x 1,8 inches.

Condition: Choice, uncleaned bowls. The cup with a hairline crack. Very nice patinas...

An nice larger mirror in bronze, Islamic, 10th.-12th. century AD.

The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth water-green patina. Old Collection tag on the reverse.

A highly interesting and beautiful Redstone (Jasper?) Scaraboid, Levantine / Holyland, 1st. millenium BC.

This seal predates the Greco-Persian period of Scaraboids and was made during the Neo-Assyrian period, ca. 10th.-8th. century BC.

The seal is engraved with a complicated pattern, like multible Swaztikas or perhaps a scetched bird (?). Very sharp and attractive engraving

Size: 16 mm.

A pair of silver bowls with great potential for repairing, Sasanian, c. 3td.-6th. century AD.

Lot includes a hammered bowl with fine decoration in repousé and a larger crack and loss, plus another hammered bowl without decor with a small crack and loss. Both bowls are hammered in rather thin silver and uncleaned with some green encrustation.

A nice lot that can be much more valuable when finely restored!

Size: 14,7 and 15,3 cm. in diameter and rather deep.
