Attractive and rare type of biconical vessel / vase with rim slightly outward, Roman 1st.-3rd cent. AD.

The vase with beautiful irridescence!

Size: 12,2 cm.

Condition: Superb. Perfectly preserved.

Provenance: Old family Collection, 1900-1970.

This is a third Century Roman Glass, hand blown 3Rd century AD. It is thick, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines, Measurements: 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 wide at its widest point. It is simple, beautiful, ancient, and guaranteed authentic.

Interesting lot of quite scarce glass amulets or tesseras in fine conditions, Early Roman Imperial, Roman Egypt, c. 1st.-2nd. century AD.

The motifs includes Hercules, Mercury and a fine Imperial couple in the style of the time of Nero...

Attractive two-section gold earring, with a round frame on the ring and below as a drop-shaped hanger, Roman 2nd.-4th. century AD.

With some inlay still present in the hangers.

Weight: 1,61 grams.

Intact and still wearable.

Undecorated Roman lamp inscribed CCLO.SVC on the base.
The impressed mark refers to C(aius) Clo(dius) Suc(cessus) whose Italic workshop had branches in Africa Proconsularis.
Loeschke type VIII lamp with plain discus set off by grooves. Small filling hole at center, tiny air hole pierced below...

Choice red-ware rim fragment featuring a beautifully detailed lion. The feline approaches with a forward-turned front body. The head with delicate detail and a shaggy mane. Shaggy strands on the elbow joint. Excellent modeling of the musculature and great rendering of the panther-like fur pattern depicted with tiny circles. A finely preserved pestle carved finger - hand-carved from fine white marble, Roman, 1st-3rd. cent AD.

The bent thumb pestle has a handle with stylized lines in the skin because of the bent position and a narrow tip with a carved nail bed. Round base, smooth from use.

A stunning and very detailed example of a well-known roman type.

Ancient Etruscan Villanovan Impasto Ware vessel, ca. 8th Century B.C. of Biconical body, standing on a low splayed foot.

CONDITION: In its original unclean condition with age patina, the incrustation and mineral deposits, chipped,missing handles ,otherwise intact. No repairs or restorations.

Provenance: Ex-Old Canadian collection.

A very attractive terracotta figure, depicting a standing pygmae, Roman Emperial, ca. 1st. century AD.

The Pygmae is very detailed depicted semi-nud with enormous phallos.

Concition: Choice and intact! A few light chips to the base, the original pigments finely preserved!

A lovely and sizeable terracotta bust on a plint of a muscular young man, Time of Hadrian, ca. mid 2nd. century AD.

A very attractive bust with a wide strong chest and painted facial details in black pigment. His hair is rather long and he is arising from a round plint as was the typical for the Imperial Roman busts. The bust is possible depicting Antinous, Hadrians famous lover.

A striking Roman Sculpture of a female, her oval face with a rounded chin and slightly-parted full lips, her forehead peaked at the center, the luscious wavy hair brushed backwards and center parted, the individual strands delineated, pulled behind her ears, bound in a fillet and tied in a chignon at the nape of her neck

A very attractive bronze protome figure of a leopard, with finely made details, such as the spots in the skin and the nice details of the head. Roman Imperial, c. 1st. cent. AD

The forepart of the leopard in a seated position, it's silver plated with a bronze core.
