A very rare intact larger terracotta sculpture of a group of deities, Early Roman, ca. 1st. century AD.

She is standing semi-nude with a draped gown at her back and elaborate headdress. Below stands to smaller attendants, perhaps kids / smaller deities. Beautiful intact terracotta which should be researched some more.

Size: 22 cm. tall and wide as well.

Condition: Superb! Perfectly preserved with uncleaned sediments.

Very interesting Roman pottery oil lamp with a Roman empress or high born lady on the discus, ca. mid 2nd. century AD.

The lamp can be dated quite accurately since the hairstyle of the lady is from the period of Hadrian-Antoninus Pius, so no later than 170 AD.

Condition: Very nice and intact, with traces of corrosion.

The lot includes a very nice Roman bow fibula (53 mm. long), perfectly intact, good metal and ring attached to the pin; a Roundel fibula, (diameter 36 mm.) intact; a large bow fibula with intact pin (70 mm.!), small repair, and a Dolphin-shaped fibula, incl. pin (5,1 cm). repaired.

Nice green patinas.

Attractive vessel in a nice redish colour, low slung discus-shaped type, probably for wine.

Condition: Good Very fine, much preserved red slip and only a few tiny chips to the very rim.

Shallow bowl redware fragment showing a fierce lion with the head turned towards the viewer.
The finely modeled lion was taken from a separate mold and applied to the bowl. The procedure was characteristic of Roman North African ceramic workshops.
The motif may belong to the realm of Roman hunt scenes or relate to Christians thrown to the beasts like St. Thecla or Daniel...

Roman Bronze fragment Group Lot, consisting of bronze tubes probably bracelet fragments large heavy, a great lot for studying patination erosion and verdigris.on ancient metal.

This classic Etruscan bronze is in excellent condition, measuring just over six inches in length. Each terminus (end) has the face of a bearded Satyr, with flaring, upturned ears. A rare and classic example, dating to circa the 5th-3rd century BC. Custom stand included. Excellent provenance, to be provided to the purchaser.

A lovely and sizeable terracotta bust on a plint of a muscular young man, Time of Hadrian, ca. mid 2nd. century AD.

A very attractive bust with a wide strong chest and painted facial details in black pigment. His hair is rather long and he is arising from a round plint as was the typical for the Imperial Roman busts. The bust is possible depicting Antinous, Hadrians famous lover.

Roman figural terracotta oil lamp with single handle. The discus is framed by two concentric rings, in the middle is a high profile bust of a woman with cloak over one shoulder and naked breast. Maker's mark on the bottom: MNOVIVSI. He was a lamp maker, known as M. Novius Justus, with a workshop situated in North Africa and produced oil lamps from 120 – 180 AD.

This extremely rare frame of bone is from the 1st century through Byzantine. The Roman goddess has independent movable balls in the cage and is extremely delicate and very fine. It was purchased in Luxembourg. Many were found by the world famous Dr. Allen Heflin while he was stationed in Rome. This is a once-in-a-lifetime find that took me many years to assemble. Broad redware dish rim fragment depicting a very fine and detailed shrub with berries. The relief decoration was taken from a separate mold and applied to the almost flat rim.
The fragment belongs to the rim of a large dish with a calculated diameter of ca. 39 cm (15.4 in). A groove runs along the outer edge.
