ANCIENT BURNISHED POTTERY JUGLET
EARLY CYPRIOT, 3rd - 2nd Millennium BC

The juglet in nicely made in a globular body, cylindrical neck with flared funnel-like rim and highly decorated with incised decoration all around the neck and the entire body.

A well carved intaglio seal in a black stone depicting the swirwling Sea monster Ketos, Greek or early Roman c. 2nd.-1st. cent. BC.

. The seal is set in a 22 carats (916 stamp) modern gold ring in an ancient style.

A solid 5 grams gold ring for it's smaller ringsize of only 14 mm.

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC. An elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with a Zoomorphic beast terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor.

Size: 11,2 cm.

Condition: Superb! Wonderful dark-green patina.

A massive greek terracotta figure of a Herm standing on a high base, Greek/South Italy, 4th-3rd century B.C.

The bust depicts a male deity with a high radiating segmented crown, underneath the long curly hair. Short wavy strands covering the forehead. A very rare Early medieval / Byzantine bronze key c. 10th-12th. cent.

Interesting key first time in stock with a round bow and large rectangular slotted bit and hollow stem.

Condition: Nice VF, fine metal great patina, a small metal flaw from the making.

A finely patinated Danish Neolithic sickle, dating back to the later neolithic period, ca. 2600-2200 B.C.

A sickle of a good size, measuring c. 15,5 cm. long. Nice workmanship with an old inventory number in white ink.

The patina is a warm even brown colour! Very attractive.

Condition: Choice, with a few minor ancient chips from use as seen in the pictures, covered by patina.

A really nice and detailed core style cylinder seal, of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, 9th.-7th. cent BC.

The seal depicts the king in a running 'Persian' stance, spearing an Ibex with a short spear or arrow, while holding a sicle-sword in the other hand. A quiver on his back and the star symbol of the Sungod over the Three Of Life.
