Interesting and very rare pendant or finial of the Hittite period in Anatolia, c. mid 2nd. millenium BC.

The finial shaped with a bull head on top of another bull.

Condition: Fine, earthern green patina, somewhat flaking at the edges, but sound enough.

Large and impressive openwork silver 'temple' ring of a very elaborate type, Viking settlers from Scandinavia (Kingdom of the Rus or Kievan Rus), present day Ukraine, c. 800-1000 AD.

Beautiful and still wearable temple ring, in solid silver, which consists of a bow ring with a loop and a large elaborately carved hanger. These rings were worn from a headband around the temples by Viking Rus women, hence the name Temple rings.

Interesting and attractive tanged bronze dagger with large broad blade, North Caspian Sea area, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The leaf-shaped blade with a broad mid-rib and raised shoulders, short tang.

Fine round stone stamp seal with a symethric carving in the base of Bulls eye pattern, Eastern Anatolia / Western Mesopotamia, early 4th. mill. BC

The seal was aquired by the collector in 1995.

Size: 23 mm. wide and 14 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine, some even wear but intact.

A fine smaller iron key from a chest, Gothic type, early renaissance, c. 14th. century AD.

The key with a complicated S-shaped bit and gothic compartement bow. The stem is square and then round and solid.

The decoration of Gothic iron locks and keys was often elaborate and of the highest standard of workmanship. The motifs were frequently drawn from Gothic architecture, reproducing on a miniature scale complicated tracery patterns and even tiny statuettes...

A nice small collection of 19 seal bullae stamped in lead, dating from c. 12th.-14th. century for the oldest up to c. 17th.-18th. century!

Interesting group incl. several with Coat of Arms and perhaps also city stamps.

Interesting and attractive amulet carved and polished in green black stone, very glossy, Mesopotamia Uruk-Jemdet Nasr period, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

The amulet drilled at the top as the eyes of the bird, which is standing on a low oval base.

A nice scaraboid stone seal carved in serpentine, Western Mesopotamia, c. early-mid 2nd. mill. BC.

The scaraboid is engraved with a high relief carving of a man standing with outstretched arms and a tree in each hand. Quite unusual.

Extremely rare cloak pin cast in silver, Ancient Near East, 'Luristani', ca. 1200 to 800 BC...

A nice pair of Danish neolithic chisels dating to Daggertime, 2200-2000 BC.

Interesting neolithic tools with specialized shapes. One with a nearly symmetrical design, the othe with a rounded and hollow edge.

Both are nicely polished and could easily be used today.

Condition: Choice. with a few ancient chips. Very nice greyish patinas.

Interesting and massive bronze ring with standing human on the Bezel, Amlash / South Caspian Sea area, c. early 2nd. millenium BC.

An unsually large ring for it's type. Normally these are decorated with applied patterns on a spiral - in this case the ringmaker also found space for a standing human figure with a weapon or a staff in his left hand, likely a mythical figure or a warrior. Lovely red and blue-green patina!

A substantial and nicely carved stamp seal in a black serpentine stone, carved as a tall pyramid, North-West Mesopotamian city states, after the colapse of the Hittite Empire, late 2nd.- Early 1st. millenium BC.

Highly iteresting seal carving of the base, which is probably an animal standing on another larger animal (or podium) within a dotted frame (?) It needs cleaning and more research! The seal itself is carved with incised lines and grit-patterns, which is probably mere decoratio...

A lot of 4 attractive larger size Roman bronze military fibulas, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.

The lot includes a very nice Roman bow fibula (53 mm. long), perfectly intact, good metal and ring attached to the pin; a Roundel fibula, (diameter 36 mm.) intact; a large bow fibula with intact pin (70 mm.!), small repair, and a Dolphin-shaped fibula, incl. pin (5,1 cm). repaired.

Nice green patinas.
