The Pyxis remains completely intact with no restoration and features a design of palmettes with a nicely detailed figure of Eros on the side. The lid remains in excellent condition with attached handle with braided "knot of Hercules" design. This is a truly rare form and an excellent display piece. 16.5 cm in height. A truly spectacular example of early Roman glass, being a sea-green bowl of shallow rounded form with a smooth edge and 28 exterior pronounced ribs converging at the bottom. A wheel cut triple band circles the lower flattened section of the bowl.

The diameter at the top rim is 6 1/8", and the height is 1 3/8". The condition of the bowl is superb, with no chips, cracks, or restoration and displaying a wonderful iridescence...

This is a collection of bronze (and some bone) arrow points from ancient China. Most of the bronze points will date to either the Warring States or Han periods (475 BC - 220 AD). The bone points are possibly as old as neolithic (pre 1700 BC). There were too many of these to list individually so I posted the entire collection. Email for specific prices. An exquisite Roman marble head of Satyr, dated from 1st-2nd Centuries AD

Facial features reveal attractive young chubby male face with snub nose; lips slightly parted and mouth agape revealing teeth. Prominent cheekbones lidded almond-shaped eyes under shaggy eyebrows and gnarled furrowed forehead. Condition: The jug intact, with minor ancient chip to the rim and encrustations. The decorations are finely preserved on this vessel. Small pinhole drilled in antiquity in the base rim.
