This very well carved ivory horse is an early 20th century product. It depicts the reclining horse with turquoise and coral on its saddle and blanket. It is 7” long, 2 ½” wide and 3 3/8” high. Aside from two hair line cracks on the bottom due to its age, it is in great condition.

This early 20th century carved ivory Buddha statue (Japanese called Hotai) is 6 ¼ inches tall, 3 ¾ inches wide and 3 ¼ inches in depth. The whole statue was carved from one solid ivory tusk. The left hand of the Buddha is holding a small fan; his right hand is resting on his knee. He wears a twisted necklace and earrings and has a big smile on his face. This late 19th century Chinese ivory carving of a Smiling Buddha (Hotai) is 2 ¼ inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1½ inches deep. His eyes are inlaid horn. His head is raised up in a big smile. His left hand holds a sack; prayer beads are in the other hand. There are six children around him. A hand is missing on one of the children. Aside from that, the piece is in pretty good condition.
