Ancient bronze food container dating from the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). With a domed cover with loop handles. When inverted the cover becomes a tripod dish. H. 15 cm, Diameter 21,5 cm. Condition: Good condition with excellent verdegris and lapis patina. Provenance: Collection Mr. Poel, antique dealer in Den Haag, ca. 1990, private collection Den Haag.

Archaic Chinese bronze bowl with rounded sides and flared rim. Cast with a ring foot. The outer body of the bowl is cast with two bands of repeating patterns interrupted by two handles, one one each side. The handles are taotie masks with loose rings. Beautiful green patination and mineral deposits.

Eight petal Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) foliate form bronze mirror with central pierced knob and four relief characters reading “long life, riches, and honor” (chang ming fu gui). 7 1/4” diameter. Good condition overall with typical wear and extensive patina. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

A gilt bronze belt hook unusually cast with a bat's head to the centre and with a dragon head terminal. This item was made either during the early Western Han Dynasty or the late Warring States period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty - circa 3rd to 4th Century BC. Complete footed cast bronze Hu (wine container), terminating curved and bulbous contour flaring on square mouth. Banded edge and lidded square cover. Has a slight apex top with four serpentine shaped mounted on a terminal bends. The ring handles of the hu measures 2 1/2" diameter with loped and mounted on a taotie mask which is molded in low relief...

Small figurine finely cast in the shape of a human being in a crouching posture, with horn shaped hairdo. Bronze, with reddish-green patina. This particular object appears to be the support of a large bronze base, as shown on a picture of similar objects exhibited at the National Historical Museum in Beijing (cat. Bronzes, NHM, Beijing, 1995, no. 1037, p. 287), which we show on our last photograph. The piece dates back to the Warring States period (475-221 BC). Length: 4.4 cm. Height: 5.2 cm...

Funeral mirror of circular shape decorated with an adorned square at its center, surrounded by symbols, and with a geometric design in relief around its rim.
