This is a large ceramic pillow in the form of a cat, done in cream and brown colors, in old Cizhou Kiln style. The ceramic cat pillow measures about 13" long x 7" tall, and dates to the turn of the 20th Century. There is a Chinese "Cultural Properties" wax stamp on the cat's back. Song Dynasty, ca. 900/1000

Glazed with a clear glaze of slight greenish tone over a buff porcelanous stoneware body. It rests on a medium-tall footring with a base that is carved in the Song manner to a subtle point at its center. The interior has a carved rib design that is partially obscured by the glaze. An unglazed ring, exposing the greyish buff paste encircles the interior of the base. The bowl is in very good condition with no restorations, chips or cracks...

Pair of small Ming dynasty Longquan celadon vases of compressed pear-form with flaring foliate form mouth decorated on opposing sides with low moulded relief leafy floral decoration. A pair of s-shaped handles are on each side of the neck. The celadon glaze with olive tint ends at the slightly flaring unglazed foot which has burnt orange from firing. The recessed base is glazed. Each vase stands 4 1/2" high. Circa 1st half of the 15th century...

A Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th century Qingbai type vase, decorated with iron brown spots. these are a mark on the base, unfortunately become paler. Fujian province ware. Condition with a crack to mouth rim and fritting mouth, glaze degraded, otherwise in good condition. Height; 11,5 cm.

Song Dynasty green celadon bowl with flower incised pattern in bottom of bowl. Deep heavy base. No chips, however, there are noticeable hairlines in glaze. Diameter: 5.50 inches; height: 2.75 inches.

Tall Chinese Song dynasty brown glazed tapering form horizontal ribbed vase. The glaze was poured into the interior while the top shoulder of the jar was left unglazed. 14” high. Circa 13th century. The unglazed base has significant grit adhering from the kiln which causes the vase to be slightly slanted and a bit unstable. There are small chips along the rolled mouth. The form of this vase would eventually develop into the better known meiping vase...

Richly glazed in deep blue this Chinese jar has a dark brown glazed interior to accommodate liquid storage. The lid has an embossed Chinese symbol for longevity which suggests to me the jar's intent was to store something special for your health and well being. This small jar was made during the 13th - 14th century, during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Itis often referred to as a "rice measure", and takes its form from basket ware of the period. It has nail-head decoration around the shoulder and is coated, inside and out, in a variagated brown glaze...

Beautiful “Cizhou” type black storage jug with lugs probably used for preserved vegetables, circa Ming Dynasty. A very attractive piece with lovely contrasting black and russet glazes, and paraffin patina throughout. Good example what would have been used in an ancient Chinese kitchen. Perfect condition, except for one very small glaze chip inside the mouthrim, noted in last enragement. H: 18.5cm/7.2in and D: 18cm/7.1in.

230.00 Unusual gray stoneware jar found of the West Coast of Sri Lanka. Impossible to accurately identify it’s origin, I am assuming it is from East or Southeast Asia possibly even Japanese. This was acquired in Kandy, Sri Lanka over 20 years ago. I would date this to about 10th to 12th century. The mouthrim is unique, stopper would be inserted and covered than it tied down with a cord. H: 22cm/8.6in x D 17cm/6.8in. Very attractive piece, just a shallow chip on the mouth rim.

Song Dynasty Green Glaze jarlet with two ears...in very good condition without cracks or chips, some wear in terms of scratches...small points of imperfection in glaze at time of firing. Floral pattern around top portion of jarlet and scrolling pattern around lower portion at the base. Diameter: 2 and half inches, height 2 inches.

Song Dynasty green crackled Celadon bowl with a nice shape. There are certain imperfections which mostly appear to be occurrences at time of firing. On the inside of bowl, there is a pock mark / rupture that appears to have occurred at some point when perhaps a stone in the clay was compromised and broken out through the glaze. Chinese Song to possibly Yuan dynasty brown glazed stoneware jar with horizontal ribbed body moulded in high relief with a dragon chasing the pearl of wisdom. The glaze stops above the unglazed foot. 6 7/8” high. Circa 12th/13th century. Very good overall condition with a barely visible old break to the horns (see closeup image). The lighter areas on the surface of the glaze are burial encrustations...

Good black glazed with large swathes of russet jug circa Ming Dynasty bottle with two lugs. There are a few chips on the lower edge of mouth. This kind of ware was the “coke bottle” of their day, common place household/kitchen items, almost every home would have a few. No reason (after a good cleaning and sanitation) you couldn’t reuse for your favorite poteen, bai jiu or single malt. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14.5cm/5.8in.

A Chinese crackle ware, cream coloured, glazed vase. I would suggest that this vase dates from the Ming dynasty, and certainly no later than the C18th. Dimensions; 12.6 cm tall. Condition; with age related wear, and an old repair to the neck. No overpainting.

Chinese Green Foo Dog Stoneware Joss Stick Holder, 9 1/2" high, 3 1/4" wide, 4 3/4" deep, loose ball inside Foo Dog's mouth, hole in the backside of the head is for the Joss Stick, the condition is good, some loose green glazes around corners of the square base.
