18th century small votive Indian bronze sculpture depicting Shridevi - a form of Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu representing Wealth - with bare breasts and holding an open blue lotus (nilotpala) in her left hand. Very nice casting - see her gracious figure with the slightest bent at the waist and one foot placed in front of the other, beautiful warm patina, high devotional wear, overall in great condition for a votive piece. Statue of HIndu God Krishna as a playing baby. Bronze, with fine green patina with reddish spots. India, 18th century. Height: 3 3/8" (8,5 cm), length: 3 3/8" (8,5 cm). It seems that the eyes were made of silver pieces affixed to the face, but that they are missing now, leaving a red trace. Very good condition otherwise.

The hip-length coat of mail made of riveted rings, with a short back slit and long sleeves. Three fish-shaped buckles are riveted onto the two large, integrated plates in the chest area. Two narrower plates attached at each of the sides, followed by three rows of overlapping discs on the back. The outside of the right breastplate bearing a long inscription in Hindi, the inside bears a shorter in Devangari, on the left an inscription in arabic.
