1909's Japanese Nippon Porcelain Coralene Fully Beaded Bowl with Louts Flowers Marked

It is 4.72 inches (12 cm) tall by 7.28 inches (18.5 cm) wide. It weighs 1.7 lb.

It has a hairline crack at the lip and a small chip close to it. There are several small spots of missing coralene beads. It also has surface wears, rubbing of gold, and yellowing at the bowl's interior (as seen in the photos).

A 4.5" octagonal Kakiemon porcelain bowl decorated with a branch of pomegranates. Ex-Christies.

Condition: Good, no chips, hairlines or repairs. The glaze is a bit rough on the upper rim, the enamel worn on one flower on the outer side of the bowl.

Japanese vase with a view of a temple near a lake within the mountainside. The way the bamboo is painted and the serene setting is seen in similar pieces done in Kutani and Kyoto wares. An unusual and rare low bowl, hirabachi, produced at the Kakiemon kiln in the late Edo period, circa 1810-30. The design shows Mizuaoi, (Monochoria korsakowii), water hollyhocks, a distinctive marshland plant with beautiful blue flowers and luxuriant green foliage, and Sagi-so, Egret orchids, amongst a torrent of a mountain stream, juxtaposed against a stylised Karahana brocade ground. A watch fob made up of 4 Satsuma decorative ceramic rounds with metal surrounds and chains. The backs of the mountings have the impressed Satsuma mark. Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original wooden box titled Kagyu-tsuki Take Kake-hana-ire (Bamboo Hanging Vase with Snail) bearing the Teishitsu Gigei-in Seal of the Imperial Art Academy signed inside “Sozan, with Amateur Skill” followed by the artists seal in red.
