An antique Persian heavily made copper vase having a rounded bulbous body, narrow neck, and a flared lip with an applied edge. The surface is embellished with fine and impressive scrolling including 4 separate birds amongst a plethora of flowers. Circa 1900. Measures 5" high x 5" diameter.

Leather wallet embroidered with silver threads. The work is surprising, it is not an embroidery of the usual silver threads which are silk threads covered with a thin silver ribbon rolled up but real silver threads created by craftsmanship by stretching the metal at the "pulling bench". On the enlarged photos you can appreciate the work and the section of the wires. There are thousands of them, it was a colossal job, the wallet is heavy. Elaborately incised with Islamic inscriptions and arabesques within three cartouches wrapping the body. The base is flat and unmarked. The was raised from heavy sheet silver with the hammer marks being clearly visible on the interior. The exterior has a soft polish with a few areas of old tarnish / oxidation. As would be expected, there are no silver markings, but it is probably in the low 900s...

Authentic Persian drum for summoning birds. Late 18th early 19th century, Brass with old skin 18 cm diameter, 10 cm high. Body and chain and pins all in good condition, skin damaged.

This lovely antique Indo Persian box is covered with silver and bronze elaborate damascene work on the top and 4 sides. The box lid is slightly domed and the inside is lined with wood. Made in what was Persia, now Bidar India, this box dates to the early part of the 19th century, and is an fine example of Damascene metal work. In excellent condition, the box is 6.5 inches x 3.5 inches x 2 inches high...

Pair of ancient Persian small cast bronze mythical creatures. Each figure has a rounded head, the short horns of a bull, an arching neck and a single hoofed foot. Various holes and slots point to a utilitarian as well as decorative function. Most likely these were feet used for a ritual incense vessel.
