The basic fabric is a linen weave with black stripes. The ends are embroidered with a striped camel carrying a coffin to Mecca, in polychrome threads and decorated with fold silvered metal. This is an exceptional example of a bronze sword from ancient Luristan (circa 1000BC). It has a choice patina and is very clean overall. The handle would have been inlaid with bone, wood or ivory which is now long gone. Three original rivets remain in the handle and at least one of them moves freely back and forth without falling out. This sword measures 387mm and weighs 226 grams. The blade has a pronounced mid rib. It shows very little wear or damage...

Large size, with pierced handle and heavy turquoise crackled glaze. Impressed designs around the shoulder. Dates to 12th century, the Seljuk Empire, from region in present day Iran. This Antique Persian Tribal Kilim was woven by the Qashqai Nomadic Tribal group in Southwestern Persia/Iran. Woven in the late 19th century with amazing all natural colors and in remarkable condition. Both decorative and highly collectible piece. Qashqai rugs typically have designs of diamond shaped medallions. It has various shades of oranges and reds on brown abrash and off-white ground. It measures 12'5" by 4'10".

Pair of ancient Persian small cast bronze mythical creatures. Each figure has a rounded head, the short horns of a bull, an arching neck and a single hoofed foot. Various holes and slots point to a utilitarian as well as decorative function. Most likely these were feet used for a ritual incense vessel. An Islamic silver and turquoise pendant, 19th century. The pendant is formed of two hexagonal cylinders hinged together and held rigid by a swinging suspension loop at the top and a hinged bar at the bottom. The front and sides are encrusted with turquoise stones of circular and gul form, the back is engraved with flowers. No maker's mark.
