The wheel is covered with deep red coral beads. Additional strands of coral beads and the turning weight are attached to a narrow leather strap which bands the center of the wheel. The handle was hand turned. Almost 12" hight and 5" in diameter, this old prayer wheel has seen many turns.

Waisted cylindrical form scholar's huanghuali wood brush pot with a slightly raised flat base and three low rounded feet. The feet, base and rim are finished with a finely executed narrow raised band. Stunning necklace and earrings by Ian St. Gielar for Stanley Hagler. Various size and shape of glass beads, red rhinestones and gold plated metal combine to make this fabulous jewelry. Outstanding craftsmanship. Necklace is 20" end to end with a 3 3/4" extension. The center disk is 4" by 3 1/2". The clip earrings are 1 3/4" in diameter. Description: A blue and white plate was painted with vibrant dragon amid swirling cloud. As a piece from early Qing period-the Yongzheng reign, the plate was well preserved with only minor frets on the glaze of the surface. A brush pen written inscription /Jianzenghao/ was on the un-glazed body at the bottom of the plate. Date: Yongzheng period,17th century. Width: 23.6cm

He is sitting on a lotus pedestal, his priest garment is decorated with gold lacquer, the sections of skin are left undecorated,. Behind his head a circular metal halo. On the inside of the doors, painted on paper, the left leaf with the patriarch Shandao declaiming Buddhist prayers, the right leaf with the founder of the Jodo-shu sect, named Honen Shonin or Enko Daishi...
