This is a magnificent sterling and rutilated quartz bracelet by Danish designer Bent Knudsen. There are 7 stones of the highest quality and sitting high in their settings. This vintage, hand wrought wearable work of art comprised of sterling silver, pyramid shaped amethyst & channel set turquoise was designed & signed c. 1934-48 by Taxco, Mexico artist Matilde Poulat. The necklace measures 17 inches long & 1 1/2" wide. Weight 116 grams, 4.1 oz. The amethyst stones are free of silver backing allowing the stones to catch light from all sides. The jade drops are a Spanish Colonial design that is mostly seen with enormous pendants. This is a sterling link bracelet by Hans Hansen ,(1884-1940),Denmark. It is an early piece signed with the superimposed double "H" mark, so pre- 1930. It measures 6 3/4" around in the inside and is 3/4" wide. It fastens with an ingenious screw bolt and weighs 69 grams. Fine original condition and signed as shown. A great early Hansen piece.
