This intricately constructed, hand wrought pendant or brooch of sterling silver & azure -malachite was designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1940's. A rare large cover jar with metal handles, decorated with a figure of official and wife standing around two servants and musicians play group among the room and garden scene. The top of cover decorated with two boys playing. Condition with 'L' shape crack, minor chips to rim cover and several old star hairlines appears to inside of the body, but no any restoration. Four characters hall mark 'Chin Xuan Thang Zhe' on the base. Ching dynasty. Mouth Diameter: 20 cm, High: 21.5 cm and Wide: 22.9 cm.

An astounding and extremely rare sterling pill box in the form of an articulated fish by William Spratling.The head of the fish opens to reveal a 1" deep compartment to keep whatever you wish. All of the scales move and make you feel sure that this fish can swim. Measuring 6 1/4" long and 2" at the widest point, it is in beautiful original condition and weighs 82 grams. A beautiful and finely woven vintage Navajo two grey hills rug. Design featuring an elaborate concentric medallion center stepped corner elements within a crenellated reciprocal border and solid outer frame in brown black white and grey. A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. A set of Mandarin squares, comprising a front and a back, dating around 1900. Insignia for a court official's wife, with appliqued silver pheasant bird, denoting the fifth rank. Gold and silver metallic threads couched on violetta silk, lined with blue silk. Condition: traces of age, little faded, back badge with short tear (please see photo # 10), lining little stained. Dimension: 25.5 cm x 28.2 cm.

Iconic and early since it bears no Eagle mark, a gorgeous Matl ring having a box-type face set with amethyst and turquoise cabs. I love the wirework that always embellishes the silver in this type of rings - as time passes, the nooks and crannies acquire a patina that makes them even more impressive to look at.
