This intricately constructed, hand wrought pendant or brooch of sterling silver & azure -malachite was designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1940's. A rare large cover jar with metal handles, decorated with a figure of official and wife standing around two servants and musicians play group among the room and garden scene. The top of cover decorated with two boys playing. Condition with 'L' shape crack, minor chips to rim cover and several old star hairlines appears to inside of the body, but no any restoration.
