A large Ming style b/w bowl, decorated to the exterior vividly with 12 blossoms of continuously flower scrolls, the interior is plain. Dated early 18th century or possibly earlier. Found at South-Sulawesi. Condition with several flake chips two hairlines restored, details as two flake chips to interior and two for exterior, further in good condition. Depicted as a long robed scholar official wearing a an official hat and leaned against a stool, the figure was vividly carved in the features and on the costumes.
In perfect condition, the wood piece was reflected on the surface with enduring old patina.
