An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. It is unsigned and quite colourful with pink, black, green, orange, blue and gold. It is in reasonably good condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight hairline crack along the chest and a few small paint flakes on the back...

Set of modernist Mexican earrings bearing the Los Castillo signature, each earring featuring two male profiles, one executed in silver, the second with azur-malachite inlay. Though the Mozaico Azteca technique employed here was among the innovations and revivals the Los Castillo workshop is credited for, I believe the pair at hand was in fact designed by their cousin, Salvador Teran, when he was still working with them...

A New England Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750, in cherry, being a marriage of a period base with a period top. The proportions and color of the two components mesh very nicely, though the secondary woods differ, white pine versus chestnut. Found in a New Hampshire home. Refinished and with replaced brasses, otherwise in fine condition, without further restoration. Dimensions: 77 3/8" height x 38 1/2" width x 19 1/4" depth.

Spectacular thick walled, heavy cylindrical glass vase by Edwin Ohrstrom for Orrefors. Vase depicts a Gondolier playing a guitar on one side, and a female figure with flowers on the other. Upper rim has closely spaced vertical air traps all the way around. Colors are in rich shades of blue, purple and honey-amber. Vase measures 6.5 inches (16 5 cm) tall and is 4.75 inches (12 cm) in diameter, weighs 11 pounds. Vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs...

Being rendered by excellent carving skill, the lion was in fierce look by bulge eyes, bared teeth and tongue.
Even though excavated with imperfections, the lion was still momentum by his strenuous muscle, the strong limbs and the flouring manes.
Bing preserved with original condition from excavation, the lion was perfectly fit to a custom-made brass base which was desighed and hammered by a modern metal artist...

Description: A cute stone tiger of Song Dynasty was carved with a red sandstone which was revealed under the old black paint from the frets on the tip of her nose. The black paint was applied all over the surface except the bottom of the stand. The evenly spread crackle paint was meaningful to this lovely stone cat for her 800 years of enduring age. Sourced from Rong Jiang area of China, the silver sectioned container was made and used by the Miao ethnic minority as a smoking accessory. Worn hanging from a belt, the collection of pipe cleaning tools would act as a toggle to counter weight the container at the other end. Made from low grade silver, the 3 sectioned container has an etched and pierced design and is held together with handmade chain...

I have never seen this type of Hina Goten (Palace) until I found this one. No longer a spring chicken myself, I asked several people in Japan if they knew anything about this style. No one knew. We may call this a rare find. The Hina ningyo (doll) set that I grew up with was displayed in the steps style, which is still a common way of displaying 15 dolls with furnitures as long as a space permits...

Signed SILVER BY TONO and weighing 79 grams this rare 1948-53 silver cuff was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. The front center of the cuff stands 1 5/8 inches high. Made for a smaller wrist, the interior length including the 1 1/8" back opening is about 6 1/4". The cuff is in beautiful condition with no dents or dings. The gorgeous aged patina enhances the hand forged scroll work and bead design...

A decorative globular shaped table cigarette lighter in Murano glass, with a Japanese inserted fluid lighter. This 3-3/8" diameter lighter is in a great forest green glass with opulent gold swirls; it is unsigned and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; the lighter appears unused, however it will need a flint and a bit of oiling (the mechanism is a bit stiff)...

Some soiling to the interior from use and typical wear to the gilt decoration. This piece was purchased from an Arizona collection.

I am thrilled to present this small wonder of Matilde Poulat's, an early hair comb with the maestra's signature repousse and bezel set jewels. In this case, the stones are one amethyst and two faux turquoise cabs positioned in a pyramid shape right at the comb's center.
