Classic sterling silver repousse necklace from French Indochina, this is an exquisitely made piece its links brimming with small chrysanthemum flowers, buds and leaves. Possibly made by Chinese silversmiths of the diaspora, it is a pleasure to wear and I love the way it combines classic Chinese motifs with the angularity of Deco design. A pair of unique three part tokkuri by Taniguchi Chojiro consisting of a top, which turned upside down forms the cup, a central ring on which the cup rests, and the bottle, which, when assembled, make the form of a temple bell. These are made after the infamous bell of Hokoji Temple which provided (a rather lame) excuse for Tokugawa Ieyasu to crush the Toyotomi family and claim the country for his own, therefore beginning the Tokugawa Dynasty which ruled Japan for over 250 years...
Perfect for a March birthday, this 14Kt white gold aquamarine and diamond ring is a classic design from the 1960-s. The center stone is a sky blue emerald-cut aquamarine that measures 10 X 8 millimeters with the approximate weight of 3.50 Ct. A brilliant cut diamond flanks the center stone on either side, the approximate total weight of the two diamonds is 0.50Ct.
Art Deco in design this 1930's sterling silver and obsidian pin was designed and signed by Mexico designer Frederick Davis (1880-1961). Pin measures 2 3/4" X 1 3/4". Beautiful condition.
