Iconic sterling silver and amethyst owl brooch designed and signed circa 1940's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The pin stands 2 1/2" tall X 2" wide. Weighs 30 grams. Each amethyst is bezel set and surrounded by a deep channel giving the owl eyes a 3 D effect. Both silver and stones are in beautiful condition. Pin back and safety lock work perfectly. Rare limited-edition abstract Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print by Jun'ichiro Sekino (1914-1988) believed to be dated circa late 1950s. The bottom margin is pencil-signed and numbered 2/50. A white ink Jun Sekino signature is at the lower right. Paper: 12 1/8"V x 24 7/8"H (image: 9 3/8"V x 22 1/8"H). There is a mat burn line and some soiling evident in the margins. There are remnants of brown tape at the top verso. An original price tag is on the back...

A rare pair Korean badges for a civil official, dating to the Choson period. Embroidered in multicolored silks on blue figured silk with two cranes flying with a stalk of sacred fungus amidst clouds, above a taihu rock and waves. Bordered with gold wrapped thread. Glued on cardboard and mounted in antique wooden European frames. Condition: fine, slightly faded and few loose threads. Dimension: 24.8 cm x 23.1 (with frame), badges: approx. 22.5 cm x 21 cm.
