From local estate - hand carved sterling silver and amethyst brooch designed and signed (c.1940) by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling.(1900-1967) With wings spread the eagle lands on an amethyst boulder. A Three Piece George V Silver Tea Set with a heavily chased design. The teapot is 5.5" high x 9.5" wide and weighs 11.1 Troy ounces; the sugar is 3.5" high x 5.5" wide and weighs 5.5 Troy ounces; the creamer is 3.25" wide x 4.75" wide and weighs 2.8 Troy ounces. Both the sugar and creamer have a gold washed interior. The hallmark is embedded in the design and is difficult to see, but it is marked Y & W (possibly Yapp and Woodward)and assayed in London in 1934.

Measuring 7 3/4 inches long, this VERY RARE, 1930’s VINTAGE, Cast Iron, Black Man Chef spoon rest retains most of its original gold paint suggesting that it saw minimal actual use! The well-appointed Black Chef sports a very wide grin and holds a bowl of eggs in his right arm and a wooden mixing spoon in his left.

Chinese plaque done in Qianjiang style with a crane flying over with a tree in the scene. There is a poem written in black ink in the upper left corner with a seal in iron red below it. The plaque has an overall orange-peel effect on the surface.

This toddler's pants were used by successive siblings and probably several generations of Chinese Miao ethnic minority children. The pants are of handwoven indigo dyed fabric and the legs are decorated with handwoven tape which is sewn into place by hand. The pants are crotchless, which was typical attire for very young children throughout old China.
