Measuring 13 inches long x 6 inches wide, this untouched, all-original, double-sided heavy metal sign is an extraordinarily RARE piece of Black American history-- an artifact of the "Jim Crow" era when segregation of the African American race was unfortunately, most commonplace.

Colorful! A fun set by Miriam Haskell. Designed in the 1970's to celebrate the Egyptian show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Gilt metal and glass beads. The necklace is signed on the scarab pendant, the clasp and on a metal tag. The clasp also has the patent number. The screwback/clip earrings have two Haskell signatures and the patent number. The necklace is 20" end to end. The scarab pendant is 2 1/2" long and 2" wide. The pharaoh earrings are 7/8" by 5/8".

A large Amber glass Mizusashi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Mizu Utsuwa by Japans top-rated female glass artists, Iwata Itoko. A very unusual huanghuali scholar's container made of one solid piece of wood. There is no plug at the base. These types of designs are very desirable for collectors of huanghuali pieces. Provenance about waves pattern: No any similar example b/w dish of this design appears to be recorded. Compare also several dishes of a similar size with incised designs in white on a underglazed blue wave background, but all have been the single incised Dragon with waves background. There are three large dishes in the Ardebil Shrine-Iran collection with diameter: 34.5cm/38.5cm/40cm, another is in Shanghai Museum 40.7cm in diameter...

Description: One celadon censer on three feet was from Longquan kiln Zhejiang of Yuan Dynasty. Crackled beautifully under introspective gloss of the glaze, patterns of Eight Diagram were decorated around the outer wall. When the steep circular foot rim was molded to support the censer, three suspended feet were used only as decoration with which was a typical Yuan ware's characteristic. Description: One Temmoko tea bowl of Song dynasty was authenticated as a Jian kiln piece. Kept with beautiful glaze condition, the clay revealed at the foot rim yielded it's black purplish tint which justify it's origin. In typical everted shape, one crack line penetrated on the upper part of cavetto and some touch-ups were made to the glaze surface. Date: Song Dynasty(AD 12th Century) Width: 12.6cm Height: 4.8cm

A b/w bowl, with foliated lip rim and inside the center with a fruit blossom within double circle, encircled by classic scroll on the inner rim, at the exterior divided into eight panels and each decorated with precious emblem supported by lotus. Ming dynasty 16th century. Condition with one hairline visible on enlargement 9, no chips and free from any restoration. Diameter: 18.3 cm and High: 8.6 cm.

The bone beads are drum-shaped and inlaid with bits of coral and turquoise. Additional discs of metal are sometimes sandwiched between the bone beads. Prayer beads were hand held strands used for counting mantras during prayer. This strand is long enough to slip over the head easily and it makes a beautiful necklace. This is a wonderful old mala and it is in very good condition

This handmade pair of Tibetan boots was typically used by the Tibetan Minority groups for centuries. Each regional Tibetan group used its own distinct colored thread design pattern. Monks and officials also could be recognized by the thread design of their boots. These were a "commoners" boot and judging by their size, they were used by a young teenager. I suspect that they were only worn once or twice and they are in wonderful condition. Heel to toe they measure 9" and stand 12" high.

From a private collection, this is a stunning sterling necklace and two bracelets sold at the Rancho Alegre, the largest silver shop in Taxco during the 1960s-70s. The designer initials are TRM .
