This wonderful example of tramp art came from Le Mans, France. It has a lion's head handle & stands upon four metal claw feet. Faded red velvet sets off the many intricate layers of carved woodwork. Not without flaws, there is definite wear from age & use, this piece retains its handcrafted charm. Measures 6" high x 10" wide x 7-1/2" deep.
A vintage Art Deco three piece decorative hand painted luster set by Grimwades c1930. This set is in their Byzanta Ware series and depicts trees and flowers in a kaleidoscopic style view on the 9-1/2" console bowl and twin trees on the 7-3/8" tall candlesticks. Georgian sterling silver table spoon in the very scarce Onslow or Scroll pattern. London, c.1765, maker's mark rubbed. Size: 8 1/8 inches length. Bowl in excellent condition with no dings or wear to the tip of the bowl. A family armorial with a Baron's coronet is engraved on the reverse of the handle. A large English majolica pitcher decorated with two pink wild roses on green leaf stems placed on a brown tree bark background, with twig handle. Circa 1880. Unmarked but possibly by Holdcroft. These hand hammered tumblers are 3-1/4" in height, made and marked by Jacob Grimminger of Gmund, Germany (established 1895).
