Based on Margot de Taxco's and the Los Castillo's "Koi Fish" parures, a repousse by-pass ring from the 1950s-60s made by one of Taxco's still unidentified maestros. Each panel is securely connected by soldered rings; there is some roughness to the work, but the bracelet is sturdy and its hook clasp in good working order. This lovely and unusual Georgian pin is most likely a mourning piece. Made from 18k yellow gold, with rose gold and platinum accents, the center panel has two hearts (one of gold, one of platinum) under beveled crystal. It is surrounded by gold and platinum flowers and leaves, and has a delicate cannetille framework. It is unmarked, but tests as 18k. It weighs 3.6g or .12oz, and measures 7/8” x 5/8”, so it is quite small. Probably English, it is circa 1835...

In my opinion one of the best maestros in the art of repoussage, Jose Anton created both holloware and jewelry and was among the first Taxco Renaissance silversmiths. His work has never disappointed me - very creative designs, confident repousse and beautifully combined silver and stones elevate his pieces above the level of most of his contemporaries. These diamond and pearl cluster earrings date back to the late Victorian era. The center pearls on each earring are surrounded by eight old miner cut diamonds. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 0.65 Ct. The 4.5 mm pearls seem to be natural pearls, but were not x-rayed.

This wonderfully executed butterfly broach is made of 18Kt yellow gold with yellow white and black enamel and green see through enamel (plique-a-jour). The butterfly eyes are natural rubies and the wings are movable. It is marked Spain 18Kt. The height of the pin is 1” and the wingspan is 1 ½”.
