An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.

Fabulous heavy sterling bracelet with inlaid multi stone dots by Taxco silversmith Los Ballesteros. The dots include lapis, tiger eye, obsidian, and several others. I have seen this bracelet before with inlaid dots of onyx but never with the variety of stones as this bracelet.Please view all of the photos to see all of the various stones. An unusual and very interesting 940 silver necklace by Hector Aguilar. More delicate than most others, it measures 15" long and 3/8" wide. It weighs 51 grams and is in fine original condition. The links are continuous and the clasp is invisible. Hallmarked for Hector Aguilar as shown. Simple and elegant.

Pre assay era Marked "Silver Made in Mexico". Resembling the work of Melendez, talented Taxco silversmith or even Fred Davis with the type of opaque stones he favored. Swirling chased leaf wreath pin brooch that weighs a solid .8 Oz or 23 Grams of tested sterling or better and is 1 3/4" across. Bezel set 5/8" or 15mm Green Cab is surrounded with rope. Original "C" catch and the hinge. Pin stem appears to have been replaced in the past? Priced accordingly...

This amethyst and sterling pin by Taxco artist Fred Davis is featured on page 24 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date the pin c. 1928. Davis combined silver and amethyst in many of his most celebrated pieces. This pin measures 1 3/4" diameter and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the stones and none have been replaced. Hallmarked for Fred Davis as shown. An important early piece by this creative visionary.

Featured on page 180 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill, this is the 3-D Wave Bracelet by Antonio Pineda. She dates this piece c. 1955-60.This bracelet was made in several sizes and weights and this is the largest scale of this bracelet made. It is a spectacular 175 grams of 970 silver.The crescent shaped links are hinged and there is lots of movement to this bracelet.It measures approximately 7 3/4" around in the inside and is 1 3/8" wide...

Spectacular, large, heavy sterling Mexican jade bracelet. C. 1940, this piece measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide. An outstanding, huge sterling repousse bird pin by Matilde Poulat. This is an early piece with her embossed script MATL mark. This impressive bird with a turquoise eye measures 4" long and 2 1/4" wide at the plumage. In fine original condition, I believe it to be quite rare and certainly astounding. The detail is magnificent.A fabulous coat or blazer pin.

From a private collection, a fabulous sterling and tortoise belt buckle by William Stratling. It measures 3" by 1 3/4" and weighs 43 grams. It is in beautiful original condition. A belt buckle with this same silver and tortoise combination is featured on page 56 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Appropriately signed with the last Spratling mark and the eagle 30. An important and exquisite piece for the Spratling collector.
