One of the most beautiful early pieces by Matilde Poulat that I have yet found. This c.1950's sterling, turquoise and amethyst bracelet is exceptional in every way. An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.
