This is a gorgeous custom made, handmade moonstone and genuine ruby pin set in sterling. It is c.1940 and measures 3 1/4" long including the dangling moonstone,and 2 1/2" diameter. All of the stones are individually prong set. The moonstones are clear, blue and beautiful. All stones are in fine condition and original. This is a fabulous coat or blazer pin and the moonstone lover should be absolutely DELIGHTED with this brooch.

Smashing, LARGE mixed metals belt buckle in the form of a fish by Antonio Pineda. Although several of the Taxco silversmiths worked with mixed metals, I have never seen a piece before in mixed metals by Antonio so I would think this belt buckle to be quite rare. Very mid-century modern and minimalist in design, it is beautiful and whimsical. It measures 5" by 2" and is in fine original condition. Great looking minimalist ebony and sterling earrings by American Modernist jeweler Ed Levin.C. 1950, these are screwbacks and hang 1 3/8" long. The ebony disk is 3/4" diameter. Signed LEVIN STERLING on the back of one of the disks in block letters. They are wonderful.

Sam Kramer is considered the most significant Modernist jeweler in the U.S. He opened his studio/shop in 1939 in Greenwich Village. Kramer's jewelry was inspired by Surrealist art and a medium for his own kind of expression. American studio jeweler Betty Cooke opened her first retail space in 1946 in Baltimore.Her style is considered spontaneous and according to the book MESSENGERS OF MODERNISM " she likes to think of her jewelry as metal action pieces which are based on the curve." This great bracelet certainly fits that description with the lines bending and curving in several directions as it embraces a large central oval black onyx. A very charming sterling necklace by Margot De Taxco which is highly ornamented with a leaf and berry motif and a bow on each side. It is a collar necklace that opens in the front and is hinged in the back. It will fit up to a 14"neck which is about average. It is 1" wide in the front and tapers to 3/8" in the back. It is in fine original condition and weighs 94 grams. Signed and numbered for Margot as shown. A very elegant piece.

An astounding and extremely rare sterling pill box in the form of an articulated fish by William Spratling.The head of the fish opens to reveal a 1" deep compartment to keep whatever you wish. All of the scales move and make you feel sure that this fish can swim. Measuring 6 1/4" long and 2" at the widest point, it is in beautiful original condition and weighs 82 grams. A stunning tiger eye and sterling bracelet with matching earrings by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950. The surface of the S shaped stones is smooth and highly polished and impeccably fused into the silver. The design beautifully combines movement, line and color. Gorgeous early William Spratling 980 silver bracelet featured on page 43 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER. It is in beautiful original condition and has not been cleaned so has a warm vintage patina.There are no dents to any of the silver balls. It measures 8" end to end and is 1" wide. SOLD, price info not available. c 1940 Billy Goat Figural Pin Brooch with primitive but effective wide "C" catch marked "Mexico Silver" and a long tailed bird maker's mark that looks like a pheasant. The eye and cheek area of the goat seems human like, as if someone had posed for the silversmith! Tests at least 90%, but could be higher. 2.5" X 1.75" and weighs .4 Oz or 13 grams. Traces of Art Nouveau are left on this Arts & Crafts Ring marked Sterling and possibly a "J", with a satin finish green swirl art glass collet set stone. It is a comfortable pinky ring at size 3.75. The art glass cabochon is 14X8mm with the length just shy of 1" long. Very nice wearable condition with the usual lines that silver rings of this age get. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
