Abraham Paz was known for bringing to life the designs of Fred Davis. Many of Davis's designs are signed by Abraham Paz. The stone is large and I believe it is obsidian without a sheen. You can put light to the back of the undamaged stone and see that it is most probably Obisidian. The length is 15in. That may seem short but it is built like a pectoral that perks up at the hollow of the neck and sits comfortably tipped outward...

This is a very old pre Spratling era Yalalag cross with it's original chain of a long 48 inches. Each cross on the chain is of thick silver. All of the beads on the chain are 9mm and hand made. The drop is 6in. long and the beads are much larger than the chains beads at 13mm. Again all the crosses on the drop are extremely thick silver and are also hand made. Pieces like this were normally not signed and this one is of no exception...

Signed with an old hallmark of Matilde Poulat's Matl the repousse is in full regalia. Very well done with fine carving leaving a true feeling of the feathered bird. This is the larger sized version being 4 1/8thin. tall and 2.25in. wide. The weight is 36.5 grams heavy. Early Velazquez repousse bracelet with a center height of 2.5 inches. The carved jade face is without chips or cracks. There is some glare in the pictures.
