Entirely hand-wrought in a style that brings to mind early Matilde Poulat pieces this is a monumental, early Mexican Deco bracelet. This pair of hand forged sterling silver butterfly or moth earrings were designed & signed in the 1940's by American & Taxco, Mexico designer William Spratling (1900-67). A rare and unusual Hopi sterling bracelet handwrought by deceased famous Hopi silversmith Ralph Tawangyaouma, hallmarked "H" and his thundercloud hallmark with emanating streaks of lightening. An early pioneering silversmith, working since 1910, his work is distinctive for his use of heavy gauge silver and stamping both exemplified by this bracelet. Tawangyaouma died in 1972. This cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening and is 1 1/2" wide...

Stupendously beautiful, a vintage Deco Mexican silver bracelet that is not for the faint of heart! This is one of the most impressive, visually stunning examples of Mexico's early 20th c. jewelry I have seen. Its tall panels are profusely decorated with wirework and beading and set with two yummy, big amethyst cabochons each. Slick, less-is-more design and a beautifully carved amethyst "mask" make this vintage 1950s Mexican sterling silver ring easy to wear and a real treat for the eye! Wonderful Dorothy Bauer brooch! This little turtle has personality!. Beautiful prong set blue and green rhinestones making a charming design on the turtle's back. The brooch is very three dimenional being 1 1/8" thick from top of shell down. He is 2 3/4" nose to tail and 1 1/2" flipper to flipper.

Early Velazquez repousse bracelet with a center height of 2.5 inches. The carved jade face is without chips or cracks. There is some glare in the pictures. This repousse has great dimension and is 104 grams heavy. With a length of just over 7in. long and a diameter of 2.5in. when closed it will fit most. Velazquez was known for his Mexico City repousse in the folkloric style that Matl, Matilde Poulat is also known for. A must have for collectors.

A 4 X 5 millimeter rose-cut diamond is set on top of this 19th century 14Kt pink gold ring. The setting that holds the diamond is covered on the bottom and is held by ten prong-like supports to give the ring its buttercup style. The width of the top of the ring is 7 millimeters, it is a size 9 ½ and can easily be sized.

In my opinion one of the best maestros in the art of repoussage, Jose Anton created both holloware and jewelry and was among the first Taxco Renaissance silversmiths. His work has never disappointed me - very creative designs, confident repousse and beautifully combined silver and stones elevate his pieces above the level of most of his contemporaries...

This is a very early and unusual 990 silver and turquoise cuff bracelet by Hector Aguilar. I have never seen this piece before and have not found it pictured in any of the Mexican silver books so believe it to be quite rare.
