Antique Yixing - I Hsing brushwasher decorated with enamel floral. The bottom of the pot signed with the seal mark. PERIOD : late 19th Century MEASUREMENTS: 10.5 cm wide, 7 cm height. CONDITION: glued to the small chip on th rim, no other damages.

 

A very rare Nana-sun plate with swirling hake-me design from the kilns of Utsutsukawa dating from the early to mid Edo period wrapped in a ragged bit of sarasa dyed cotton cloth and enclosed in an age darkened wooden box titled Utsutsukawa-Yaki Kashibachi - Ikko (Sweets dish-1) It is 7-1/2 inches (19 cm) diameter. Thinly potted, there is a tiny chip in the rim, otherwise is in perfect condition; exceedingly rare for this type of pottery...

This is a blue and white Chinese Export miniature "Long Eliza" trumpet-lipped vase comprising molded lobed panels having ladies and foliage in the Kang Hsi style, bearing a jade mark on the underside, It is in excellent condition and measures 4 1/2 in. approx.

A nice small celadon jar Ribbed-Potiche, covered. Yuan Dynasti 13th-14th century Long Quan ware. Condition is very good, repaired on a small chips on the rim, cover missing. High: 8.5 cm Width=7cm.

Description:
A round-shaped pottery inkstone was well preserved.
Supported by three foot which were intriguingly and characteristically in figures as crouching animal, the inkstone was mold with flat surface.
The surface was used as grinding pool for inkcake, so it was concaved in the middle.
In two-step style on the surface, the outer lower rim was designed for resting the lacquered cover which had been decayed and vanished.
Overall it was in newly-excavated condition preserved ...

The second of two Chinese Qing scrolled paintings on silk after Ding Yunpeng (active 1584-1638). 19th century or earlier. The size, including mounting, is 91”V x 23 1/4”H (painting: 86”V x 21 1/8”H). Good overall condition. The top wood bar is missing and a section of the top silk mounting is tattered. The painting has some typical buckling, creasing, soiling, and wear. By kind of cute everted foot, the censer was mold in round body and was fitted with arc handles on the upper rim.
In light green tint, the censer was spread with fine crackles which were yielded due to long time of age.

Finely cast in solid bronze, this pair of Komainu figures, also referred to as Shishi or guardian lions, are diminutive in size, measuring 3 1/8" high x 3", but maintain the fierce and powerful demeanor for which they are known. They have the traditional stance, and one has an open mouth, the other closed, with richly sculpted manes and tails. The patina is very dark, with some verdigris evident in the crevasses, and very light wear where they were handled...

Very Rare Chinese Neolithic Painted Pottery Jar - Machang

This small pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago during the Machang Phase (c. 2300 - 2000 BC) of the Majiayao culture, also known as the Gansu-Yangshao culture, from present day Gansu or Qinghai province. It is made from a fairly high-fired pale pottery and is of a very unusual and rare form with its wide body, small unflared mouth, no handles and four pairs of purpose-made holes around its shoulder...

Decorated with the “ Three Friends” , the prunus, bamboo and pine tree, floral scroll on the cavetto and outside. W=14.5 cm. Ming 1368-1464. Condition : very good with minor frit on the footrim

The rafter tail is the end of the roof rafter which is architecturally visible. In times past, many cultures would carve traditional objects and design at ends of the rafter tails. This galloping horse is the carved rafter tail from an old Indian building.
